CHAP 2!!
Chapter 2 - The Spider
“No this can’t be!” - a metal leg crashes into concrete, another one against a desk, sending its contents overboard. -“No, no, no, where is it?!”- glass shatters hitting the floor, and sheets of paper scatter everywhere. Impossible! Impossible, he says! It was right there, right on his screen, a glowing dot indicating the location of his spider. His last spider, the only one that wasn’t destroyed in that “lab accident” not two days ago. Yes, “lab accident” in quotations, he refuses to believe it was fully an accident, he does not make mistakes like that! Something else must’ve been at play! Sabotage! Had to be!
No, stop. No use in thinking of that, he’s getting off track.
The spider. The spider was his only chance to recover at least something from his wrecked research. At the start of his project, he had made sure to tag every single one of his subjects, along with a tracker in case any was ever misplaced or happened to escape. Just that morning he had tracked it to Midtown High and didn’t think much before heading out to find it… and maybe he destroyed the place a bit in the process but details, details, that’s irrelevant! What’s relevant is that he was not able to find it, and when he made it back to his super secret underground lab lair hideout, – better name in the works – the tracker on the spider was gone. The bright, green, flashing dot had just vanished entirely, leaving an empty map behind.
He spends hours searching for it, looking everywhere in New York, typing in new codes in case the old one was faulty, restarting his program to see if that blasted dot appeared again. But it was no use. There were only two potential scenarios he believes could’ve been the cause of this: either the spider was dead, or somehow its tracker was damaged. However, a scientist like him would not accept a simple answer like the former, no, he knows that arachnid was out there. He stands up straight, staring daggers into the computer screen. He raises a mechanical arm holding a glass terrarium in front of his face.
“And I’m going to find that pesky spider, if my name isn’t Doctor Octopus!”
Glass shards litter the floor.
—————
“So.. you have no idea how this happened.”
Immediately, Amber lets out a very very over-the-top dramatic sigh as she throws herself face-up on the bed next to Gwanda - “No, Gwendolyn I do not know what happened, I woke up like this, no explanation to go along with this.. fabulous new bod.
Gwanda pushes Amber off the bed.
“That is not my name and you know it!”
“That’s what you’re caught up with?” - says Pete, spinning around in Amber’s desk chair - “...Ok, so, what do we know?” - he questions after a few moments - “Your hands are sticky and you’re really strong?”
“That’d be about it, yeah…” - This wasn’t going anywhere. What did she expect them to do? Just magically know what happened to her? Amber sighs again, rolling onto her stomach on her spot on the floor. She turns her face to the side, her gaze falling under her bed, when she spots it. - “Oh my god, it’s my favorite hoodie!” - She bolts up holding the piece of clothing in both of her hands - “Wow, I thought I had lost it! Hadn’t seen it since…”-  A small something falls out of the hoodie, stopping Amber in her tracks. She bends back down and picks it up, wondering what it could be.
“It’s a spider.”
“No shit, captain obvious.”
“Ok, well, no need to be like that, Gweny, it was simply an observation.” - Amber snarks back. She stares at it in her hand for a bit, turning it around, and poking it at, her thoughts coming to a stop when she realizes.
“The spider.”
“Yes, we went through this, it’s a spider.”
“No, no, no, the spider, it was the spider. Remember? I felt something bite me when we were in my uncle’s classroom. It was the spider. That’s why it was on my hoodie, I took it off the second I got home and hadn’t pulled it out since. Last week this spider bit me at school.” - She rambles franticly, like she doesn’t know how to explain what’s going through her head at the moment.
“Wait” - It’s Pietro who realizes next - “Are you suggesting it’s the spider that… did this to you?”
“Yes! Yes, that’s exactly it! Think about it. I’ve felt sick ever since that day, but I haven’t left my house all week, and now my hands are sticky, and then this falls out of my hoodie. It has to be that!” - She stares back down at the spider sitting on her hand, finally realizing she doesn’t know what to do with this newfound information. No but really, what do you do in this situation? They have no idea where this spider came from, or what else it could’ve done to her. Amber’s kind of freaking out, she’s not going to lie. She hears Gwanda and Pete argue over the chance of it even being true but she doesn’t care. She knows this is what happened, it makes sense in her head… in a way. Got bit by a spider and now she’s a spider mutate with freaky spider-powers. Of course.
Outside of the room, a jingle of keys in the front door’s lock can be heard. Amber’s dad just got home from work.
“Look” - Gwanda stands from her spot on the bed and takes a step towards the door - “How about we go to your dad? He’s an adult, maybe he can help ‘cause frankly, I don’t got a clue of what we could do. So let’s just- “
Her dad? No way! This is the kind of thing people keep secret, like in shows, and books, and movies. What kid’s first thought is “let’s look for the adult”?
Before Gwanda gets to finish her sentence, Amber lets out a quick “No!” and extends her arm towards Gwanda with her palm facing up and her middle and ring fingers bending towards her. She doesn’t know why she did it like that, call it a reflex or instinct maybe, but her fingers touch her palm and with a “thwip” a weird, light yellow string shoots out of a tiny hole in her wrist she hadn’t noticed before. The substance — a web maybe? —, lands on Gwanda’s hand, gluing it to the doorknob.
The room falls silent, everyone shocked. Jaws dropped all over the room.
Gwanda’s the first to snap out of it - “How the actual hell did you just do that?!?”- she whisper-yells, as to not signal Amber’s dad, because maybe now really isn’t the time.
“Bro… no tengo ni la más puta idea!” - Amber states unhelpfully.
“What do you mean you don’t know?!” - asked Gwanda as if this wasn’t also Amber’s first time dealing with this. She tries pulling her hand, but the yellow web doesn’t budge! Guess it’s official, it does, in fact, have something to do with the spider. Gwanda gives up, knowing her hand is not unsticking any time soon. She looks back at Amber, staring in silence for a few seconds, then - “Why wouldn’t you just let me tell him? Your dad is a nice dude, man.”
“¡Amber ya llegué!” - Her dad calls out from the other room, interrupting the conversation.
“Ok!”- Amber answers
“¿Están los amiguitos tuyos?”
“Sí!”
“¡Diles que se queden a comer!”
“Ok!”
The room falls silent again, and for what feels like the fiftieth time today, Amber sighs - “I know that, it’s just… you know how people treat mutates and mutants, people like… me now.”
“But your dad wouldn’t do that, you know that right?” - Gwanda insists.
“Yeah but… he’s terrible at keeping secrets. What if he slips up at work? Or tells a random barista at a café when ordering? He can’t know, he can’t, not yet at least.
They look at each other, gazing into each other’s eyes, and Gwanda gets it. This isn’t her choice to make, so she won’t. - “Ok.” - she stops before continuing - “Ok, I won’t tell him. But what now?” -
That’s the question, isn’t it? What now. Amber could just choose not to do anything. Accept her powers as part of her but just… not really do anything with them and move on with her life. She could do that, yes, but what if she could do more? She thinks this through, sitting back down on the bed. Amber looks down at her hands, tracing her thumb over the small scar-like bump on the inside of her wrist, where the webs came from. She thinks back on her uncle, on that day, on whoever did that to the school… Wait.
“Hey” - It’s quiet, barely audible. She’s still looking down, chewing the inside of her lip before looking up.
“Hmm?” - Gwanda looks away from the webs keeping her stuck to the door, she had distracted herself with it, trying to peel it off unsuccessfully. Pete looks up as well, he had also been staring at the webs Gwanda really wanted to get rid of, but not doing anything to help. They look at Amber, who, in turn, looks back at them, staying like that for a bit before finally speaking again.
‘Did they… did anyone find out who kil- destroyed the school?” - She decides not to mention her uncle, it’s not like it was a direct attack on him anyway.
“No.”- Both Gwanda and Amber turn to look at Pete - “They didn’t. They tried following him but the guy was fast. Ben has some friends at the station, says they last saw the guy running into the sewers, then they lost track of him there. There’s no security footage of him either, so he’s either really good at avoiding cameras, or he erased everything.”- While he speaks, Pietro takes his phone out of his pocket and opens the photo app - “It’s crazy, the only reason people think it might be real is cause some senior took a shitty pic of it and posted it.”- He lands on what he’s looking for and turns his phone around, showing a blurry, off-center, photo of a person with their back turned towards the camera, wearing a dingy lab coat with metal tentacles coming out of it, and that’s all you can tell from the photo.
“So he’s still out there.”- It’s said as a statement rather than a question. Amber gets this determined look in her eye, like she’s planning something. She opens her mouth to speak and-
“No” - Gwanda immediately shuts her down.
“What? I haven’t even said anything yet!”
“The answer is no.”
“But I can go after him!” - Amber stands up from her bed abruptly - “I can go after him.” - She says this like it’s a given, like there no other choice here.
“No, see, that’s why I said no, Amber, that’s stupid! Going after him? How would you even- Is there even a plan? You don’t even know where to find the guy. He destroyed the school! Sticky hands won’t save you from that!” - No, Gwanda refuses to go along with this, she already said it but it’s stupid, dangerous even. She can’t just go out there and… they’re not the X-men! Or any other superhero group! Or anything like that at all! However, this won’t stop Amber.
“Gwanda…”
“Amber.”
“No, listen to me! This- we- I, I could do something, I can help people, I can find the guy and let the police deal with him-”
“Then why not just let the police deal with him in the first place?!” - The two argue in a low voice, remembering that Amber’s dad is just a few doors away. Gwanda wishes she could walk closer to Amber and use her hands freely for emphasis, but alas she is still webbed to the doorknob.
“Because we know they wont be able to find him!”
“We don’t know that, Amber.”
“Yes we do.”
“No, we don’t. So why risk your life for someone else’s job?” - That quiets Amber, even if just for a bit. Because it’s true, it’s not her job. Gwanda, logically, is in the right.
“Because I have this power.” - And that’s the root of it all, isn’t it? It’s why the argument even started. Because she has these powers and she can do something with them so why wouldn’t she.
Gwanda doesn’t look convinced, Pietro is though. Honestly, he’s been convinced for a while, it’s why he hasn’t jumped in yet and just chose to observe from his spot in Amber’s desk chair. Gwanda looks up at the ceiling and closes her eyes, breathing deeply for just a moment before looking back down at Amber. She still has that determined look in her eye, and Gwanda knows this argument is going nowhere. There’s no convincing Amber, there’s no changing her mind, not from this. She’s going out there, either with their help or without it.
“You’re doing this either way.” - It’s not a question.
“Yeah.”
“I can’t stop you.”
“You can’t.”
“Then you’re going to need a suit”
“Wha-” Amber’s left dumbfounded, her eyes set on Gwanda. That’s it?
“Oh, fuck yeah!” - Their eyes snap towards Pietro.

The Wilson family house was adorable. Two stories with chipped blue paint on the walls and yellowing white on the columns. You had beat Sam there, so you decided to just look around for a few minutes before meeting Sarah and the boys. You walked out to the dock in front of their house, admiring the water, how still and calm it was. You were staring into the distance when you heard small footsteps from behind you.
“You know, it’s rude to sneak up on people.” You weren’t sure which boy it was, but you were trying to present a non-threatening front.
“You know, it’s rude to invite yourself onto someone else's property.” You were surprised when you heard Sam’s voice respond to you. Turning quickly to face the man with the confused expression. “I thought you wouldn’t come to the States because of the whole Enemy of it thing.” He walked away from you, gesturing for you to follow as he picked up your abandoned duffle. “He’s not here if that’s who you’re looking for.” You shook your head as you crossed the threshold into the living room.
“I’m not here for him, although he would be a much welcome bonus.” The two of you shared a laugh. “But no, I’m here to help you however I can.” Sam’s eyes narrowed, wondering if he should question your generosity. Your eyes must have given away your desperation for a home because he decided against it.
“Okay, but if you’re here, you’re gonna work. We’ve got a lot of shit to get done if we’re going to fix this boat up.”
“What boat?” You smiled at him as he began explaining what was going on. He just skimmed the top of what was really happening, but you could tell he was worried even though he wore a good facade.
“Get changed into some clothes you don’t mind getting messed up.”
“Am I going to be doing, like, manual labor?” He gave you a ‘duh’ look to which you groaned, “So, shorts are out of the question?” Sam had already walked into the kitchen before replying.
“Only if you want to freeze your ass off!” You changed quickly into a pair of ripped mom jeans that you cinched with a belt at your waist and a white short sleeved shirt.
“Do you have an overshirt I can borrow?”
“You mean, a flannel?” Sam shot back as he exited the room.
“Yeah, an overshirt.”
“No. A flannel. Come on, say it with me, flannel.” He tossed one your way, which you put on the rolled the sleeves up to your elbows.
“It’s an overshirt, Sam. I’m not seeing the issue.”
“Y/N, it's a flannel. Just say flannel, why you gotta make it all fancy?” He walked out the back door and onto a wooden bridge that led to the marina the boat was docked at. He didn’t let the flannel thing go the whole way over, making you laugh loudly and shake your head. As you walked up the dock, you could see several people helping Sarah and Sam with their boat.
“This is all you guys?” You were amazed, you hadn’t seen togetherness like this since before Aunt Peggy died. “Wow.” You said mostly to yourself as Sam walked you up to the woman of the hour.
“Sarah, we’ve got another one. Sarah, Y/N. Y/N, Sarah.” You stuck your hand out for Sarah to shake, which she did kindly. “I’m going to work on getting some of the siding off the boat. Sarah, Y/N is all yours.” He darted off, leaving you with Sarah.
“What ya got for me, Sarah? I’m here to do whatever you need.” She began instructing you to help with cataloging everything that people were bringing. Whether it be rusty spare parts or a couple twenty dollar bills, Sarah wanted to know and she wanted a record of it. A truck pulled up next to the boat and Sam got out hugging the men that exited it.
“Tommy, Carlos, man, this is amazing.” They exchanged a few more words before one of them asked the inevitable question.
“How do we get it off the truck?” A loud scraping sound emitted as the pallet was taken from the truck bed. Bucky lifted the bundle of parts over his head effortlessly, dropping it on the ground. He turned to the group of three men staring at him.
“You’re welcome.” You laughed as you approached. Bucky hauled a gray and black case onto the truck bed, speaking to Sam about it. Suddenly, one of the pipe fittings went out of whack, causing a steady stream of air to escape on the boat. Sarah stopped in front of it on the dock.
“Sam!” She was holding her clipboard as she watched Sam try to stop the leak with a crescent wrench. Bucky walked up next to Sarah, saying hi before telling Sam he was doing it wrong.
“Men. They even mansplain to other men, can you believe that?” You said from beside Sarah while Bucky finished fixing the leak. You tilted your head to admire him, “But we love to watch them work, huh?” She laughed as you wiggled your eyebrows at her. Bucky and Sam turned back to you and Sarah and Bucky’s eyes widened when they landed on your figure. Sam walked toward the front of the boat as Bucky stopped to introduce himself to Sarah.
“Sarah--” His eyes flicked to yours, “Y/N.” Then he quickly followed behind Sam.
“Oh, what was that, Y/N?” Sarah teased, two can play at that game.
“I don’t know, what was your thing about, Sarah?” You said her name like Bucky did to mess with her. She shoved your shoulder away and pushed you back to work.
You had to admit, watching Bucky do domestic type things with his metal appendage did things to you. Just knowing that he was comfortable enough to be around Sam’s whole family with his arm fully on display, made you happy.  The sun was beginning to go down, and you were sharing a beer with Sam and Bucky. Bucky hadn’t spoken to you directly since he got there and it was starting to irk you. You thought that you had something, but maybe not. Bucky rose from his position on the boat, clinking his bottle with Sam’s, claiming he needed to find a hotel room so he could catch his flight tomorrow.
“You’re just gonna set me up like that, huh?” Sam joked.
“I just don’t wanna make it weird for your family.” But Bucky’s eyes caught yours as he spoke.
“Just stay here, man.” Sam began a rant about the people of the town, ending with, “Plus we already got one freeloader for the night, what’s one more, right?”
“Oh goodie! Are we going to braid each other’s hair and play Seven Minutes in Heaven, too?” you teased Sam, but Bucky stiffened.
“We can do whatever you want.” Sam said, then he pointed at Bucky, “Just don’t flirt with my sister. Cause if you do, I’ll have Carlos cut you up, feed you to the fish.” Bucky made a face at Sam before smiling again.
Later that night, after you had all eaten dinner and the kids had gone to bed, you contemplated what your next move was going to be. You were sitting in one of the patio couches outside, a blanket wrapped around your legs, watching the stars reflection in the water. Bucky walked out on the porch, a pair of sweats-- that he had to borrow from Sam because he didn’t pack anything-- slung low on his hips, his blue Henley stopping just before the waistband of his boxers.
His gaze met yours and he approached you as if you were a wild animal and you were going to run away if he made any sudden movements. Your legs had been sprawled across both cushions of the couch, so instead of letting you change positions, Bucky just lifted your legs and then rested them on his lap. His left hand was rubbing back and forth just above your ankle.
“Is there a reason you’ve been avoiding me, James?” He ignored your question all together, opting to ask his own.
“Do you remember when we first met?” You thought back to the first time that you ever saw him. Chained to a chair, hair hiding his face from nosy onlookers.
“Uh, yeah. You were being treated like an animal, caged in a glass box. Why?” His left hand never stopped its motion on your leg.
“When you first started staring at me, I was absolutely positive that it was out of fear. Then when I actually looked at you, you were curious.” You nodded your head, recalling the emotions.
“That was a stressful day.” You could sense that Bucky didn’t need your input to get to where he was going.
“Then, when we were in that stupid tiny blue car that Steve had crammed us into,” he paused to laugh at the memory, “I was sure in that moment, that I was never going to see you again.” His gaze hadn’t left his palms on your legs, refusing to meet your eyes. “And when I saw you in Madripoor, I was positive that it was just someone who looked a lot like you. It couldn’t have been you, I wasn’t that lucky.”
His left hand gripped your leg as he spoke, “But then you started talking and I would’ve known that voice anywhere. All I wanted was to be close to you.”
“Bucky, you almost broke my arm because I sucker punched Zemo.” He shushed you.
“All I wanted was to be close to you, but I’m also a violent person.” He brought his head up, locking his steel blue orbs with yours. “Then you kept talking and you were so smart. So beautiful.” His metal hand left your leg to cup your chin. “Every word out of your mouth mesmerized me, even when you were kind of insulting me.” His thumb stroked your jaw, traveling up to your bottom lip. “And God, the way you said my name.” Your nostrils flared and your brow raised.
“What? James?” You trapped your bottom lip in between your teeth, giving Bucky reason to pull it out with his metal thumb. Your tongue shot out to wet your lips out of habit and Bucky shot you a glare.
“Doll. What’re you doing to me?” He dropped his thumb back to your cheek as his eye flicked over your face. He brought his hands down to your waist, holding it tightly and pulling you closer to him. Your ass now rested against his right leg, and he transferred his grip to wrap around your blanket covered thighs. A squeal escaped your lips without your permission, making your face contort.
“When we were sitting at the bar in your gallery I wanted nothing more than to smother you with all my love and affection.” Your heart rate increased, you want that too. “I’m glad I wasn’t able to though.” Your stomach dropped, a feeling of rejection washing over you. You began to pull away from him, wanting to escape his touch. He gripped your legs tighter against his body, “At that time, I wasn’t what I should be for you. I’ll probably never be exactly what I should be for you, but I’m selfish enough right now that I don’t care anymore.” He twisted his upper body to face you.
“What are you talking about, James?” A visible shiver ran down his spine as you said his real name. He brought both his hands up to grip your face. The cool air added to the temperature difference of his hands.
“I’m talking about this.” It wasn’t a half a second later that his lips were on yours. It took you a second to respond, but you did with fervor. Your hands traveled to his neck to show him that you wanted this too. His fingers fanned out, cupping behind your ears to bring you impossibly closer to him. His tongue traced your bottom lip, seeking entrance which you denied playfully. He brought his thumbs to rest on your chin, applying pressure as he asked again. At this point, you didn’t care about the pardon, or Karli and the Flag Smashers, or Sharon and the Power Broker, or even Sam, Sarah and the boys. You could only focus on James’ lips that were molding so perfectly with your own. You eventually had to break apart, your fingertips coming to rest on James’ kiss swollen lips. You locked eyes with him again, his pupils blown wide, and the two of you laughed.
“Oh, that.” You traced his lips while holding his stare. “Is that why you haven’t been talking to me?” He nodded quickly, gaze drifting down to your lips again. He leaned forward wanting to steal another kiss, but you stopped him. “That’s not okay behavior, James. You can’t just not talk to me because you’re frustrated with yourself.” He hummed a noise of assent, kissing your fingertips on his lips. His palm came up to keep your fingers pressed to his lips as his eyes roamed your face. “What does this mean, James? You aren’t just going to get my hopes up and then walk away right?”  He pulled back from you, a look of disappointment crossing his features.
“I’m sorry if I’ve made you feel like that would be a possibility.” He took a deep breath, “After my time in Wakanda, after Shuri de-programmed me, I thought I finally had a group of people I could trust. Then, Ayo was able to remove my arm within the blink of an eye, but not the way that they had when they were tweaking it.” He rested his body against the back of the patio couch. “My therapist had been telling me that I needed to trust someone, and up until that point, I did. I thought I had people who fully trusted me as well.” He looked over at you, silent tears racing down his cheeks. “This clearly isn’t a good excuse, but I felt like you wouldn’t have trusted me either.” Your hands came up to his face, wiping away his tears.
“James, I’ve known of you for years before I met you. Remember how Sharon said I did that report on you in high school?” He nodded as much as your hold on his face would allow him to. “Well, that’s when I first fell in love with the idea of you.” His eyes widened as you continued speaking. “Then, I was lucky enough to meet you and it felt like everything fell into place. After Sharon and I ran off to Madripoor, I wasn’t sure if I was going to see you again, and I was okay with that because maybe you were better left as an idea.” You laughed as you looked down at your lap, dropping your hands from his face. “Then I got dusted during the Blip, which is a whole other thing and then Sharon said that you were in Madripoor.” You shook your head then faced him, eyes locking with his red rimmed pair.
“I would love to fall in love with you. And right now, I want nothing more than to let the trust we have for each other grow into something more.” A wide smile spread across his face and he bared his teeth at you, scrunching his face at the nose.
“I want that too.” He leaned forward slapping a sloppy kiss onto your lips, which you returned with equal intensity. When Bucky pulled back from you to catch his breath, he left his forehead resting against your own. Your breaths synchronized and he patted his hand twice on your outer thigh, signalling you that he was going to get up. “We better get some sleep.” He stood in front of you, offering you his hand. You smiled as you entwined your fingers with his metal ones.
Luckily, Cas and AJ were kind enough to share a room tonight so you could sleep in the other. Bucky’s hand never left your side as he walked you up the stairs. Once you had reached the closed door, he wrapped his arm around you, twisting your body to face him, back pressed against the cold wood of the door. He pushed his whole body forward, molding your bodies together as his hands hooked into the waistband of your sleep shorts.
“I’m glad that we talked, Y/N.” He pecked your lips, pulling back afterwards to stare at your face.
“I’m glad we did too, but what are you doing?” A nervous laugh left your lips and Bucky’s eyes followed the movement.
“You’re just so pretty.” He leaned forward kissing your cheeks, “I’m happy,” A kiss to your chin. “that I’ll be able to,” one to your nose, “call you my doll soon.” His lips lingering on your forehead before bringing his chin up to the top of your head, pulling you into him for a hug. You brought your arms up to wrap around his waist, your face pressed into the spot where his neck and collarbone met.
“Am I not already your doll?” Your question was muffled against his skin, but he heard you.
“Not until I specifically ask you. You can be mine without being my doll, but I want to wine and dine you before I feast.” Your brows raised again and your lips rolled inwards.
“Before you feast?” You were holding back a laugh, so Bucky pulled back, his hands gripping your shoulders, face serious.
“Feast.” He reached behind you opening the door. He gave you a quick smooch before pushing you into the empty room, alone with your thoughts. You had a harder time falling asleep that night. Bucky, on the other hand, had no problem, sleeping like a rock with a smug smile on his face.
You woke up to the sound of eggshells being cracked and forks hitting the sides of ceramic plates. Walking down the stairs and into the kitchen, you saw Sarah working over the stove while Cas was scrambling eggs. Sarah heard you coming down, ever the always aware mother.
“Hey, hope you’re hungry, ‘cause you aren’t leaving this kitchen without eating somethin’.” She watched as you peered into the living room, searching for Bucky’s imposing figure. “I think he’s down at the dock with Sam. They left real early this morning and girl, I swear to God if they’re messin’ with that water pump, I’m going to strangle the both of them.” You laughed, taking the plate of scrambled eggs that AJ was holding out to you.
“Did you tell them that the water pump wasn’t the issue?” She nodded as she stirred the eggs in her pan. “Then you know that they are, Sarah.” The two of you shared a laugh as Cas and AJ sat down to eat, as well.
“Y’all better hurry up before you’re late for the bus.” The boys quickly shoved their remaining food into their mouths, rushing out the door after kissing their mother goodbye.
“How do you do it?” Sarah’s head tilted, wondering what you were referring to. “Being a single mother and managing a business? Does it all get to be too much sometimes?” She could tell you were genuinely curious, so she sighed.
“It’s definitely challenging at times, but thankfully I have a good enough relationship with AJ and Cas that we’re able to get through pretty much anything. After we lost their Dad, I was all alone and scared. I’m still scared a lot of the time, scared that I’m going to mess them up, you know?” She paused a second to recollect her thoughts. “It’s just by chance that we live in this amazing community that helped me whenever I needed a little bit of assistance.” The conversation between the two of you fizzled after that, perhaps it was too heavy a topic for breakfast to handle. You followed her to meet a group of people at the marina, but the journey there wasn’t silent.
“So, I have a question, but you don’t have to answer it if you don’t want to. Although I feel like if you don’t answer it, you’re kind of answering it.” You encouraged her to ask whatever she wanted to. “You and Bucky are a thing, right?” You coughed, unsure of how to answer. “That’s all the confirmation I needed.” Sarah smiled at you as your mouth struggled to form words.
“We are, but we aren’t?” Sarah gave you a look making you roll your eyes. “I don’t know he said that he was excited to see where this was going and then we kissed, so yes?”
“Oh, he looks like a good kisser.”
“Right? Just like he’s got the bone structure and lip plumpness ratio down to a T.” There was a brief moment of silence before the two of you burst into a fit of laughter. The walk down the marina dock wasn’t a long one, so you were able to see Sam and Bucky hunched over a pile of scattered parts.
“Uh-huh. No. No.” Sarah’s head began shaking as Sam was arguing with Bucky, who wasn’t paying attention to him. Instead, his eyes were roaming your figure, lingering on your face. His eyes darted to Sam before he greeted the two of you with a wave of his hand.
“I told you specifically that the water pump was not the problem, and yet, here you are.”
“Yep, Samuel.” Bucky teasingly berated, taking Sarah’s side.
“You’re in just as much trouble, you by-stander.” Your voice lilted into a playful tone as Bucky made a shocked face at you.
“In our defense, we were supposed to be done long before you woke up.”
“I don’t come up to the sky to tell you how to barrel roll, so don’t come down here and mess around with things you don’t understand.” Your fist came up to your mouth.
“Oh, that’s a-burn, Bird Brain.” You pointed a finger at Sam, clutching your stomach with your other hand as Sarah swatted the two boys away. Bucky stopped next to you, wrapping his metal arm around the front of your body, delivering a soft kiss to your temple. He left with Sam, arguing the whole way to the house while you stayed with Sarah, reassembling the water pump.
By the time you had gotten back to the Wilson house, Bucky was hauling his backpack strap onto his shoulder. You slowed your approach, holding your open palms in front of you, confused as to what Bucky was doing.
“Where are you going?” He turned to face you, a smile spreading over his face. His metal arm wrapped around your waist again, pressing a kiss to your temple.
“I’m heading to New York, I’ve got some stuff to wrap up there. I want you to come with me.” You were taken aback, what about Karli and the GRC?
“We haven’t finished this whole thing with the Flag Smashers, or Walker. Bucky, we can’t just walk away from our responsibilities.” Bucky’s hands clasped around your shoulders.
“We aren’t, Y/N, I promise. Sam has Torres doing something with some signal do-dads and he’s going to call us the second he gets a lead.” He spoke calmly and you thought it over. At least he wasn’t trying to run away again, he was accepting that he had a real role in this. You could feel a shift coming, you weren’t quite sure what it meant, but you were hoping it was a good one.
“Okay, let’s go to New York.”
The two of you hadn’t even been in New York maybe twenty minutes when Sam texted Bucky that he had a line on where Karli was. Supposedly she was heading a takeover of the GRC meeting in Lower Manhattan. If being in New York as a wanted person was nerve wracking enough, now you were going to be surrounded by hundreds of government officials and some of New York’s finest. Bucky was on the phone with Sam, talking through the plan when your phone buzzed. Pulling the device out of your pocket, you saw Sharon’s name pop up.
“Heard you were having a bit of trouble with Karli again. Don’t worry, help is on the way, dear.” Your eyes rolled, still not over your argument before.
“You don’t need to be here for this Sharon.” You paused for a second, your left hand resting on your hip. “How did you even hear about this? Sam just now called Bucky, and I guarantee that he didn’t call you first.” Sharon chuckled on her end of the phone.
“You underestimate my reach, Y/N. I’ll meet you outside the building.” Your jaw clenched.
“Sharon, you said you didn’t want to help. What the hell changed that you’re so willing to put yourself in the middle of all this shit?” She was silent on her end.
“I figured you would want me there.” Well, shit what the fuck were you supposed to say to that?
“Lower Manhattan, keep quiet.” You hung up the phone before she could say anything else. You hated not talking to her, and being mad at her was next to impossible. This was your way of saying ‘I forgive you,’ and you knew she would understand. Bucky didn’t say anything as he watched you push your phone into the pockets of your jeans. He could tell something was off, but he could also see that you definitely didn’t want to talk about it right now. Instead he jerked his head for you to follow him, leading you through the streets of Manhattan.
The two of you could see the red lights illuminating the streets, letting you know that you were here. Bucky turned to you, holding his hand out to you, a single earpiece laying in the middle of his palm. As you took it, his hand drifted to your jaw, lifting it to face him. He placed a sweet kiss to your lips before nodding for you to stay behind him. You pulled the brim down on the hat you wore as you stuck to Bucky like glue. He led you through the barricade, one of the soldiers addressing him accordingly.
“Sergeant Barnes.” You made a face beneath your cap, holding back a laugh as Bucky came to a stop in front of you.
“Oh, Sergeant Barnes.” Bucky looked at you over his shoulder as his skin twitched. Your eyes widened. “Does that turn you on, James?” He wasn’t able to answer because of an interruption by Sam’s voice in your ears.
“By the way, I called in some backup.” An agent approached the two of you while Sam kept speaking. “Also, please remember that I can hear everything you say, Y/N. And I don’t need to know what makes the Tin Man tick.” You laughed at Sam’s statement as a twinge of pink ran up the back of Bucky’s neck.
“Excuse me, sir. Are you supposed to be here?” The agent’s hand came up to his hairline. A click sounded as the agent’s face began to glitch. “It’s me.”
“Sharon, what the hell are you doing here?” Sharon pointed an accusatory finger at you.
“Why didn’t you say that to her? The same people who want me in the Raft, want her there too. Or did you forget that?”
“Do I hear Sharon?” Sam asked as he listened in on your conversation.
“Unfortunately.” Bucky grumbled back.
“Hey Sam. I thought I’d get the band back together.” She threw a wink at you as she stepped closer to Bucky. Sam said something else to her, but you had zoned out to watch Sharon. “I hear pardons aren’t all they’re cracked up to be anyway.”
“Depends on the therapist.” Bucky said as he backed away from Sharon and closer to you.
“They’re going to move on the building soon. Be ready.” Sam brought you all back to the task at hand, switching into Captain mode. Bucky nodded to you and Sharon.
“Go with her.” You made a face at him, about to protest when he cut you off. “I don’t care. Stick with her, Y/N. Don’t get arrested though. We’ve got a date.” He wrapped his arm around the front of your waist, like he did at the Wilson house. He pressed a kiss to your temple, staying a little longer than necessary and giving your hip a squeeze before he released you. You heard glass break above your head as Sam crashed through one of the windows upstairs.
“You guys are going to have to do something. Don’t let ‘em out of the building.” You walked behind Bucky to enter the building, the metal detector going off for both you and Sharon. You shared a look with the woman.
“Oops.” Bucky pointed at a guard in tactical gear while he stepped forward.
“He’s one of them. I’ll get the evac.” He left before you could stop him, leaving you and Sharon to deal with the man he pointed at. The both of you followed him to the parking garage, where he was standing post next to two black armored vehicles. The two of you were waiting behind a pillar as you debated what to do.
“We need to stop him.”
“If we take him down now, they’re going to be suspicious and we are going to get arrested. Cool your jets, Y/N.” Your nostrils flared at her tone, crossing your arms over your chest.
“Why didn’t you tell Sam you were already coming?”
“What?” Sharon seemed startled by the question as if you didn’t catch the slip Sam said earlier.
“Sam said that he called in backup. I’m assuming he meant you because we’re the only four people he knows. So why didn’t you tell him you were already coming, or already here or whatever?”
“I didn’t think it was important.” She said dismissively, you could tell she wanted you to drop the subject, but you wanted the truth. Throwing a glance up to the guard, you saw him helping the GRC officials into the vans.
“Damn it Bucky, you had one job.” Bucky ran past you, grumbling a response as he loaded his weight onto a motorbike.
“We aren’t done with this, Sharon.” You pointed at her before she walked away from you. You watched as she ran into the guard then apologized profusely to him. When you caught up to her, she clicked a button in her hand, releasing a noxious gas in the guard’s face. You saw his skin being bubbling and sizzling.
“How’d you do that?” Your eyes hadn’t left the man in the car.
“Mercury vapor, amongst other things.” The two of you continued walking out of the garage, a helicopter started taking off from the helipad on the top of the building.
“Sam, that chopper’s about to take off.”
“Bucky!”
“I don’t fly, man. That’s your thing.” Sam groaned in the earpiece and then you saw him shoot out the window again, chasing after the helicopter. You walked alongside Sharon, following Bucky’s path after the NYPD vans. You got to the barricade just in time to see Scruff holding one of the cars back from falling off a ledge. You were too far away to be able to get to him in time to help, though. You stood next to Sharon as he was ripped away from the back of the car. Your heart dropped as your gaze went to Bucky, who was standing directly underneath the car that was about to crush him.
The crowd around you was holding their phones in front of their faces, at an angle that all they could see was the back of the NYPD van full of GRC officials screaming for help. As the car slipped farther and farther down the platform, your stomach churned more and more. Suddenly, the car stopped, hovering over the opening in the ground. You could make out Sam’s new wings on either side of the car. He pushed forward, lifting the car back to a safe position and then moving away, allowing the crowd to see him fully. The star on his suit glinted proudly as he stood still for a second. The crowd erupted in cheers for the savior. A man to your left cheered for ‘Black Falcon,’ but the man beside him corrected him before you had the chance to.
“No. That’s Captain America.” Red Wing left Sam’s suit to undo the locking mechanism on the back of the van and the GRC officials evacuated the vehicle quickly. Sam turned in the air, removing his shield from his back and throwing it at the Flag Smashers below, knocking them off their feet. At some point, you began moving toward the edge of the platform, ready to help and away from Sharon.
An explosion went off to your right, causing you to search for the source. Puffs of smoke were being thrown in the pit where Sam and Bucky stood and you could see Karli getting away in the confusion. Bucky’s voice rang through your ear.
“Hey. We’re underground. We entered the tunnel on William. Heading south.” You searched for Sharon so you could join up again, but you couldn’t find her. You could hear Sam telling Bucky that the Smashers had split up, and you knew that Bucky would’ve gone with Scruff to keep an eye on him, the unstable bastard. Out of the corner of your eye, you could see Sharon crouched behind a stack of pallets, and your brows furrowed. She began whistling and then you heard Karli’s voice.
“Dovich? Is that you?” Sharon emerged from behind the stack, holding her gun in front of her.
“I’m disappointed in you.” Karli brought her gun up as well, speaking to Sharon as an old friend.
“That’s what I was gonna say.” Sharon brought her hands up in surrender, and your head tilted, what the fuck is going on? “You know, when you first came to Madripoor, you reminded me of a young me. I took you in, gave you an opportunity, and you betrayed me.” Oh hell no.
“Because you wanted to control a world that hurt you.” Karli lowered her gun but all her senses remained in overdrive. “But I wanted to change it. I’m not interested in power or an empire. I have bigger dreams.” Sharon scoffed, looking around, her eyes darting over where you were hidden behind a stack of boxes. Could it really be? Was Sharon really the person that you thought you knew?
“What, like this?” She stepped closer to Karli. “Come back and work for me again. All of you. We can make a difference together.” Sharon was trying really hard to convince Karli, but she wasn’t having it.
“You just want me because you need your muscle back. Without us Super Soldiers, how much power does the Power Broker really have?” Motherfucker. You zoned out a bit, trying to decide what to do. A male voice began speaking in French causing you to refocus.
“Four times, or--” You could see Batroc’s gun pointed at Karli and Sharon’s face was indifferent.
“I don’t do blackmail.” Sharon gripped her gun tighter, raising it quickly to shoot Batroc. Karli panicked and shot Sharon in the process. The gunshots were loud enough to give Sam an idea of where you were all located. You came out from your position, gun gripped in your hand as you stood closer to Sharon. Maybe you could salvage this situation before Sam got here.
“Karli, calm down.” You kept a tight hold on your pistol as you talked. “Look, I get it. You’re scared, but I’m going to need you to put the gun down.”
“I’ll put mine down when you do.” You could hear a slight shake in her voice. You tilted your head at her apologetically.
“You know I can’t do that.” You cast a glance at Sharon who was clutching her stomach, attempting to stop the blood flow. Karli gulped as she raised her gun again.
“Well, I can’t have any loose ends now, can I? You taught me that, Power Broker.” She sneered at a groaning Sharon. A blinding pain began radiating from your shoulder and your hand immediately when to the area. The force of the bullet knocked you off your feet, slamming your head into the ground.
“Shit, what the fuck Karli!” You could make out Sam’s figure coming up from behind Karli. You saw him process Karli standing over one dead body and two injured ones. The wheels began turning and he started speaking.
“So, what’s next, huh? You kill ten this time, then, what, a hundred? Where does it end?” He stepped closer to an agitated Karli. “Please, let me help you.” He kept his voice calm.
“Don’t try and manipulate me.” Karli approached Sam ready to attack. Their fight continued as she pushed Sam backwards.
“I’m not gonna fight you!” She knocked Sam down to the ground, with the swing of a metal bar.
“Stay down!” She shouted at him. You pushed yourself to your knees, adrenaline pumping allowing you to get to Sharon to help hold pressure on her stomach. You watched from over Sharon as Sam rose to his feet, holding his body in a fighting stance.
“I can do this all day.” She launched herself at Sam, throwing his body back into a bunch of cinder blocks. Sam held his shield in front of him, protecting from her punches.
“Fight back!” She shouted as she delivered blow after blow. Sam ducked low, grabbing onto her torso, using his thrusters to send the both of them flying. Karli used the momentum to push off the ground, to bring Sam up to the ceiling. You sat back on your knees, worry lacing your features.
Sam held one of her hands to his chest as she continued throwing the other into his shield. She gripped the top edge of the shield, using it to gain leverage. She pulled her hand away from his chest, tossing his body forward. The shield slipped from Sam’s arm and he laid on the ground, recovering from her attacks. Karli leant down to pick up her gun and you pushed yourself to your feet, ready to tackle her.
She raised her gun, aiming it at a now shieldless Sam. Karli hesitated, staring at Sam before committing to her cause, ready to kill Captain America. You were steadily creeping forward as she debated, but you could see the moment she decided to pull the trigger. Just before she could, a gunshot sounded from behind you. A gasp left your lips as Sam ran to hold Karli.
Your head whipped around to see Sharon leaning against the stack behind her, gun still smoking. Sharon shook her head at you as she holstered her weapon. Sam lifted Karli into his arms and carried her away from the both of you. You stood a good three feet away from Sharon, hand on your gun in the waistband of your jeans.
“When were you going to tell me that you’re the Power Broker.”
“What the hell are you on about now, Y/N.” Your brows raised and your mouth opened in shock.
“I was fucking here when Karli was talking to you, dumbass. Is that why you shot her? ‘Can’t have any loose ends,’ she said you taught her that, Sharon. What the fuck?” Sharon laughed at you.
“You’re imagining things, Y/N.” She rose to her feet and began walking away from you.
“Sharon, don’t fuck with me right now. How long have you been the fucking Power Broker?” You followed her up the tunnel and out to where you could see Sam lecturing a Senator. Sneaking around to a medical bag, you grabbed two pieces of gauze.
“I’m not the Power Broker.” Sharon rolled her eyes at you, leaning against a car behind the ambulances. You were about to say something else when you saw Bucky and Sam approach the two of you. They took in the two of you, an angry look on your face and an annoyed one on hers.
“You’re blocking my light.” Sharon bit out to Sam.
“We got to get you to a hospital.” Sam told Sharon as Bucky walked up to you, pulling your gauze away from your shoulder, checking your bullet wound.
“It’s through and through and you know they aren’t going to listen to you.”
“It’s not the worst thing that’s happened to me all week.” Your eyes glared at Sharon as you spoke. How long has she been doing this behind your back? Someone called for Sam’s attention.
“I think he’s talking to you.” Sharon said, turning away from the newcomer’s view. “Look, I’m sorry for how things ended down there.” Your jaw clenched but you remained silent. “For what it’s worth, the suit looks good on you.” She played a good victim, that’s for sure.
“Alright, can we get out of here, please?” Bucky wrapped his arm around your waist, leading you away from the ambulances and news cameras.
“I didn’t forget my promise either, guys.” Sam nodded at the two of you before turning to do his Cap duties. Bucky remained silent beside you, content with just being in your presence again.
He led you to his apartment, bringing you to the bathroom where he pulled out a first aid kit. He placed it on the countertop, placing his hands on your hips and lifting you onto the granite.
“You’re gonna need to take your shirt off.” He flipped the top of the kit open, searching for what he needed.
“Trying to get me naked already? At least take me to dinner first, Sergeant.” You winked as you peeled your shirt off. Bucky glared at you then quickly looked at your shoulder.
“This is going to hurt, just so you know.” He didn’t give you time to say anything else before starting to clean the hole in your shoulder. You hissed as stings radiated from the wound, cursing under your breath as he blew on it. “Alright, here we go.”  Bucky began stitching, returning your body to its former glory in his eyes. “How’d you managed to get shot?”
“I was attempting to get Karli to drop her gun.” You debated on telling Bucky what you learned about Sharon. “Who do you think the Power Broker is?” You asked gauging his reaction. His attention never wavered from his task. He soon finished with the front side of your shoulder, backing away and telling you to face the mirror. Bucky leaned forward, his hips pressing against your ass as he set to work on the exit wound.
“I have my theories. What about you?” You looked at the granite below, tracing the different lines, not answering for a few minutes.
“Mm, not really.” Was it naive to keep the knowledge to yourself? Probably, but this way you could deal with Sharon on your own and not have to involve Captain America.
“Y/N. You lived there for years, you’re telling me that you never encountered the Power Broker? Never worked for him before, procuring a particular art piece?” You shook your head as you felt him start to wrap your shoulder.
“No, I made sure that all my dealings were as clean as the illegal art trade could be.” Bucky nodded, closing the first aid kit and placing it back under the sink. He walked out of the bathroom and into his kitchen, pulling out a bottle of Advil. He shook two tablets into his metal hand and gave them to you along with a water bottle from the fridge.
“Take these and then go lay down. You need to sleep so your body can heal.” You could tell something was bothering him. You reached out to grasp his metal wrist.
“Hey, what’s wrong? Hmm?”
“Nothing. I’ve just got something to do.” You nodded.
“Do you want me to come with you?” His head shook back and forth in denial.
“No, I need to do this alone. I’ll be back soon. Whenever I get back you better be asleep in that bed.” He pointed at the door to his room. He walked up next to you, wrapping his arm around the front of your waist and giving you a kiss on your temple. “I’ll be back, doll. I’ve just got a few things to wrap up.”
He left soon after, leaving you alone in his barren apartment. It was easy to see that he hadn’t made it his home. Probably feeling like he had no reason to, no ties to anyone here. Makes it easier when you have to bug out in a pinch. You walked into his room, searching for a shirt to wear to bed. Finding one of his shirts hanging in his closet, you pulled it over your head after removing your bra. You took off your jeans, trading them for your sleep shorts from your bag.
You climbed into his bed, waiting for his scent to envelope you, but it never came. Has he ever actually slept in this bed? So you laid there, unable to fall asleep, too many thoughts swirling in your brain. How long has Sharon been the Power Broker? Did it start when you first got to Madripoor? Or was it after you were dusted and she was there alone for five years? None of this changed the fact that she needed to be stopped. The amount of influence she had was too great. Your phone buzzed on the nightstand next to the bed, so you rolled over to pick it up.
Court hearing with the Senators tomorrow at 8 A.M. for you. -Sam
You thought about the possibility of being welcome back into your own country and not being treated like a criminal. Thought of the possibility of going to work for the government again. Of working with Bucky and Sam. Of being with Bucky without having to look over your shoulder all the time, and it made you smile. Your phone buzzing brought you out of your trance.
Also, you and Bucky need to come to my house tomorrow. Sarah’s throwing a party, they got the boat finished so we’re celebrating.
That made your smile grow, you were happy for the first time in a long time. The lock of the front door clicked and you jumped out of the bed, grabbing your knife, ready for an attack. You waited behind the door to Bucky’s bedroom, then swung it open. Your hand came up to the intruder's throat and your mind switched out of attack dog mode when you saw Bucky’s raised brow.
“Is there a reason for this?” His eyes were red and he had tear stains on his cheeks. You flipped your knife back down and placed it on top of your jeans.
“Sorry. Are you okay, James?” He shook his head and you opened your arms to him. He walked into your embrace, before exhaling harshly into your uninjured shoulder.
“No, but I will be.” He backed away for a second, taking in your form. “Didn’t I tell you that you were supposed to be asleep when I got back? Also, is that my shirt?”
“Yes, you did and yes, it is. Do you have an issue with that, Sergeant?” He quickly shook his head back and forth, leaning down to pick you up by your thighs and tossing you onto his bed.
“Not at all, doll. You look better in it than I do.” He smiled at you as he stripped down to his boxers before climbing into bed with you. Bucky tossed his arm over your waist, pulling your body into his. He sighed contentedly, basking in the way you smelled.
“Sam got me a hearing for a pardon.”
“Oh yeah? When’s that?” Bucky’s voice was muffled because he had buried his face in your neck, peppering small pecks there.
“Tomorrow morning at nine. Are you going to come?” Bucky thought on it for a moment, before shaking his head.
“I have one more thing to take care of.” You nodded.
“They got the boat fixed and Sarah invited us to the party. Sam says we have to go, it’s tomorrow too. I don’t actually know what time though he didn’t say.”
“Alright, I’ll pick something up to bring after I finish my thing.” You turned to face him, a smirk plastered on your face.
“So, Sergeant does it for you?” You giggled as he groaned and removed his arm from your waist. His hand came up to run through his hair, scratching his head
“Are we doing this right now, Y/N?” You released a cackle of a laugh, nodding in response. “Oh that’s how you’re gonna play this?” He attacked your sides, beginning to tickle you causing you to react accordingly. Somehow, he managed to end up on top of you, in between your thighs. He stopped suddenly to watch as you writhed and giggled.
“What?” You started getting self-conscious, afraid that there was something on your face. Your hands came up to hide your face from him, but Bucky wasn’t having it. He took your hands away from your face by trapping your wrists beside your head. “What? Why are you doing that?” You questioned, only halfway serious.
“You’re just so pretty.” He leaned forward, his lips meeting yours in a gentle kiss that soon turned into something else. His hands traveled back down to your sides, resting on the bare skin showing from your shirt having ridden up. The temperature difference shocked you enough to make you gasp, giving Bucky the perfect opportunity to slip his tongue in your mouth, escalating the situation.
Your hands came up to the back of his head, holding him in the kiss, guaranteeing that he wasn’t going anywhere. They made their way down his body to rest on his shirtless back. He pushed forward with his hips, the fabric separating the two of you becoming increasingly annoying. Bucky pulled back slightly, nudging you to open your eyes. There was a silent interaction between the two of you in that moment, neither of you was ready for anything intense, so the momentum slowed, but the energy level remained.
Bucky’s hands never left your body that night. Exploring and memorizing every ridge, every stretch mark, every piece of you that made you, you. You drifted your fingers over the scarred skin next to his arm, tiny feather touches that made him hum. Falling asleep in his arms was the easiest thing you ever had to do. And for Bucky, being able to hold you as you flutter asleep was beautiful. He watched as your face relaxed and all the tension left your body, allowing yourself to melt into his embrace. Bucky didn’t like to admit it, but he was a touch starved human being. All those years in and out of cryo and isolation gave his body plenty of reason to crave genuine human touch. And to have a human as charming and annoying as you was a dream come true, his doll.
You woke up before Bucky the next morning. You looked over at his face, tranquility lacing his features, unburdened with no glorious purposes. He was just your James. The two of you had separated sometime during the night, so you scooted closer to his frame. His metal arm is thrown across the pillow behind your head, giving you perfect access to his neck and chest. You glanced at the clock across the room, the hands telling you that it was seven thirty in the morning. If you wake him now, you could have at least thirty-five minutes of bliss, plus some heavy petting if you both were feeling cheeky.
You leaned forward towards his neck, placing tiny kisses from the base of his ear to the puckered skin of his shoulder. You were so focused on your task that you didn’t recognize the change in his breathing pattern.
“Good morning, doll.” If you could melt into the mattress, that would’ve done it. His fucking rasp grated you into a fine powder of a human. You hummed at him, not stopping your kisses, instead climbing up to his jaw and then to his lips. He turned his head and playfully laughed. “Nuh-uh, we’ve got morning breath, ya nasty.” You groaned, retreating from his figure completely.
“Fine, we will brush our teeth together and then come right back to this bed and you will love me, damn it.” Bucky laughed at you as you drug yourself into his bathroom. This was the type of bliss you wanted, and you only wanted to share it with a particular metal armed super soldier. It didn’t take long to brush your teeth, and you pushed on Bucky’s back to get him into the bed quicker. When he did get back into the bed, he was grumbling.
“I don’t know why we’re getting back in bed, we’re already up now.” He smiled as you glared at him. Bucky’s back was leaned against his headboard, so you swung your leg over his thighs, straddling his lower half. His hands rested on your waist as you brought yours up to the sides of his face.
“You frustrate me.” You said with a loving smile and tone before pecking his lips softly as he laughed. “What time do you have to leave for your thing?” You played with the strings of your sleep shorts as he answered you.
“Around eight-thirty, it takes me about thirty minutes to get there and it doesn’t open until nine.”
“I’m gonna be leaving around then, too. What do you wear when you’re going in front of senators to be pardoned for stealing a metal frisbee?” Bucky huffed a laugh, pulling you closer to him wrapping his arms around your back. “I’m thinking a crop top that says “Fuck You,” would that be too obvious?”
“Yeah, that one might be a little on the nose.” Bucky checked your shoulder as he spoke. “Your shoulder looks good, no infection, thanks to me.” He plastered a wide smile on his face afterwards. “Do you know what time Sharon’s hearing is?” You stiffened slightly at the mention of Sharon.
“Uh, no. Sam just told me my time and I haven’t talked to Sharon.” Bucky’s head tilted.
“Everything okay on that front?”
“Not really?” You went back and forth on what to tell him. You didn’t want to give him the extra burden of knowing what Sharon was. “We had a fight a few days ago and neither one of us has cooled off about it, so that’s a bit rocky.”
“Do you want to talk about it?” You shook your head, so Bucky just held you tighter. “Okay, you don’t have to.” He held you for a few more minutes, before backing away. “Alright we need to get ready.” You groaned, slackening your body, making everything about you dead weight.
“No. I don’t wanna.” You sounded like a child.
“You sound like a child.” Oh you whore, get out of my head, butt munch. Bucky said, pushing your body off his. He walked to his closet as you laid spread out like a starfish on his bed. Bucky had already picked out a shirt and put on pants whenever he walked back in and you were still laid on his bed.
“You’re gonna be late.” He leaned over your head, appearing to you upside down. His arms were resting on either side of your face, dropping down he pressed a kiss to your lips. “You’ve got to get up, Y/N.” He went to the other end of the bed, where your feet dangled off the edge. He grabbed your ankles and pulled you, you slid off the bed, taking the comforter with you. “Oh my god, this is pitiful, Y/N. You’re a grown woman!” Bucky shouted at you as he left the room.
The two of you parted ways after you got dressed, but not before Bucky wrapped his arm around the front of your waist and placed a kiss on your temple. You wondered why he did that so much, but you weren’t going to argue with the attention because you loved it. You walked up to the extravagant building that was bustling with people. Everything was white, you always wondered why that was. White represented innocence and America was anything but innocence. You ended up wearing your casual clothes for two reasons. One, you were being pardoned, why couldn’t you be comfortable for that? And two, you had somewhere to go after this and that was just as important as this court meeting to you. Walking into the courtroom, you took in all the faces in the seats. Your name was called immediately, so you approached the podium.
“Ms. Y/L/N, on behalf of the United States Intelligence Community, I’d like to offer you and your family our sincerest apologies.” You wanted to scoff, but you bit your tongue. “You’ve always been an incredible asset to our country. Today, we begin to set things right. We begin to repay some of the debt that is owed to you.” You bowed your head.
“Thank you, Senator. It’s been a long time coming.” You could see the Senator’s jaw clench, not used to being brushed off.
“And we’d like to offer you a full pardon. There might be an opening in your old division. Is that something that you’d be interested in?”
“Actually, Senator. I would like to thank you for that opportunity, but no. I’ll be working with Captain America.” The man’s whole body seemed to twitch.
“You aren’t authorized to make that kind of decision, Ms. Y/L/N.” This time you did scoff.
“Yeah, okay. Well thanks for the pardon.” You tapped the podium twice, leaning to walk away. “This has been great, I really feel like we’ve both said our peace. See ya later, Senator.” You walked out as you heard him calling your name. You pulled your phone out, dialing Bucky’s number.
“Hey doll! How’d court go?” You started walking to where you and Bucky had planned to meet after you got done with your respective tasks.
“Oh great! I’m working with Cap now.” You could almost see Bucky’s face.
“Wow, how’d you manage that?” You smirked.
“I can be very persuasive when I want to be, James.”
“Oh is that so, Y/N?” You could hear his smirk as he spoke. “Maybe you’ll have to be persuasive with me one day.” You laughed.
“James, I don’t have to be persuasive with you.” You caught sight of Bucky walking down the street with a store-bought cake in his hand. You held up your pinky finger wiggling it for emphasis, “I’ve got you wrapped around my finger.”
By the time you got to the marina that docked Paul & Darlene, you were buzzing with excitement. Bucky was giggling at your antics, you were practically bouncing in the passenger seat. As soon as Bucky got out of the car, Cas and AJ latched onto him. He went along with them, playing as if he was going to slam the cake into their faces. You walked past Bucky, hugging everyone who greeted you. Once you reached Sarah, you sat down on the picnic table for a second before taking off again. You stood to the side as you watched Sam take picture after picture with pretty much everyone from town.
Bucky stood next to you, chuckling about everyone’s reaction to Cap being from their hometown. One woman almost knocked Sam flat on his ass when she hugged him, a huge smile stretched over her face. You went back to the table Sarah was at, taking a seat next to her. Suddenly Bucky climbed on top of the table, holding his vibranium arm out with two children dangling off it. He was talking animatedly with his other as he told a story about Sam. You had zoned out just staring at him with the kids.
“You know, this could be you.” Sarah said as she leaned next to your ear.
“What could be?” You made a face at her.
“The kids, the community.” She looked over at Bucky, “That hunk of a man over there.” You slapped her shoulder softly before humming.
“I’ve thought about it, but that’s a two person decision and I don’t think either of us are at a point in our lives to raise another tiny human.” Sarah nodded, her features disbelieving.
“Just don’t let that one get away.” Her finger was pointed at Bucky who was playing with the kids at the edge of the dock. Bucky must’ve felt your gaze on him because he looked up, removing his dark sunglasses to lock eyes with you.
“Oh I don’t plan on it.” You smiled at her. You joined Bucky and Sam as they stood in front of Paul & Darlene, taking in the sunset reflecting on the water. Bucky wrapped his arm around your waist, pressing a kiss to your temple. You definitely don’t plan on it, you thought to yourself as you leaned into his embrace.

So. Todomatsu always ACTS like he hates that Karamatsu is so eccentric, but we all know he actually doesn't mind that much. If anyone else made fun of him for that stuff, I can't help but think he wouldn't let it fly. So what about a situation where Karamatsu gets made fun of/bullied/put down by someone OUTSIDE the family for being the way he be and Todomatsu gets an opportunity to go into full protective mode over him??
OH SHIT the youngest of them goes feral
dare I say... RELEASE THE BABY!!!!!
God I love Zaimoku, it’s so good <3
-
If Totty is being completely, utterly, unfailingly honest with himself, his brothers need his help if one of them is going to be going on a date.
Really, he’s the only one who has any clue about how to act on a date! He could hit his big brothers over the head with a Clue-by-four with that shit and they still wouldn’t really get it.
Even so… part of him thinks he shouldn’t really be following Karamatsu to a date. Karamatsu is the one Totty knows is never going to come running to him for advice or assistance, especially with girls; he’s got the undeserved ego of an avocado toast sandwich. Totty isn’t sure he’d be pleased to know his baby brother tagged along not because he has to sort out a schedule thing at work, but because he wants to keep an eye on Karamatsu.
What else is he supposed to do, though? Just let Karamatsu go alone and totally blow it? His usual behavior aside, Totty really wants his big brothers to be happy and have fulfilling relationships. He thinks if he can be there to keep an eye on things, well, maybe it won’t go so bad. Maybe Karamatsu will have a shot with this woman. Maybe he’ll get a girlfriend!
The very idea was enough to make him feel a little better about lying so that his brother will take him along. It eases his conscience, imagining that if he manages to help Karamatsu out to the point that the second eldest ends up in a loving, joyful relationship, (obviously as opposed to the past few horrible ones he’s had), then a little fib isn’t so bad, is it?
After all, if he were the one in need of something like this, he’d be grateful for his brothers’ help however they did it.
Of course, when he sees the look this girl gives Karamatsu, a look like the kind a baby gives after licking a lemon for the first time, Totty can’t help but wince. This isn’t off to a great start. He lingers by the counter, greeting Sacchi and Aida, trying not to look as if he’s watching his big brother’s date.
“Aren’t you off today, Totty?” Sacchi hums as she turns to start making a drink.
He nods. “Yeah, well, I can’t stay away, I guess, haha.”
Aida jerks her head toward the table where Karamatsu and his date are. “That’s one of your brothers, right? Still as painful as ever,” she teases. “Is he… oh, my God, he’s on a date??”
“Shhhh, shh!” Totty waves his hands a little, hoping to get his friends to quiet down a little. The last thing Karamatsu needs is to be drawing attention. “He thinks I tagged along to talk to you guys about my schedule. But, yes, he’s here on a date.”
Sacchi finishes serving her customer, one of the few in the shop at the moment, and then leans against the counter to look over. “Aw, good for him. He’s not either of our types, but he deserves a shot with someone who’s interested.”
He lets out a soft sigh. “Agreed there. I kind of just wanna keep an eye on him, you know? To make sure he doesn’t mess it up too much. He should have let me pick his outfit, ugh… that aside, he’s doing okay so far, though, I think.”
Aida frowns as she slides a cup of coffee toward her coworker. “Um, I hate to burst your bubble, but he’s got his work cut out for him. I’ve been to some mixers with that girl, and she always finds something wrong with every guy she hangs out with.”
“She’s right,” Sacchi adds. “Good thing you came along so you can carry him home, ‘cause that girl’s gonna tear him to pieces. I mean, she went out with Atsushi and the next day he was in here crying and telling me she made him feel two inches tall. Nobody’s good enough for her.”
Aida clicks her tongue. “Your big brother’s in big trouble, Totty.”
It’s Totty’s turn to frown as he looks toward Karamatsu. Unfortunately, Sutabaa is so small and he’s close enough that he doesn’t have to strain too much to hear what’s being said.
The woman is laughing. However… Karamatsu hasn’t even really opened his mouth yet. “Oh, my God! You’re my date, huh? Last time I let my sister set me up. That bitch, haha. Ah, well… wow, your jacket is hurting my eyes. Could you take it off?”
Karamatsu seems to be trying his best to smile. “O-oh, yes, of course.” He moves to tug it off, folding it over the back of his chair. “Please forgive me. Anyway, my name is Karamatsu. And you, my angel?”
“Ahaha, WHAT?” The woman raises an eyebrow at him. “C’mon, dude. Don’t call me that. I’m nobody’s angel.”
Totty feels himself starting to steam. You’ve got that right.
“A-ah… right, my apologies.” Karamatsu just keeps smiling. The expression on his face reads almost like he’s in pain. “Well, should we order?”
She gives a cursory glance toward the menu, then suddenly her eyes are drawn to Karamatsu again. “Oh, my God, hold on… is… is that your face on your shirt?! Holy shit! Are you really that full of yourself?”
Totty’s heart sinks as his brother’s cheeks flush bright red. This is not going well. And while, yes, Karamatsu probably should have picked a different shirt, what’s really wrong with what he’s wearing? Even though he’s a little over-the-top and dramatic, this woman can’t know whether or not he’s ‘full of himself’ when she’s barely letting him get a word in.
Totty is the most socially intelligent of his brothers, and even he doesn’t think Karamatsu’s actually doing anything wrong. He hasn’t drawn anyone else’s attention like he usually does, he hasn’t gone overboard with any poses, and he’s… kind of just being himself, slightly toned down. It’s not like he’s bragging or being a jerk. Hell, it’s just a strange fashion choice; how the hell does she think it has any bearing on what he’s like as a person?
“Damn,” Sacchi cringes. “She’s not wasting any time, is she?”
Aida gives a pout toward her friends. “He didn’t even do anything wrong yet. He’s been a perfect gentleman.”
“Yeah, he’s just a little odd and, like, a tiny bit painful. But he’s acting really nice and polite.” Sacchi sighs as she props her head up on her hand. “There’s no pleasing some people. Aida, why don’t you go take their order? Maybe you can accidentally spill it on that pretentious top of hers when you bring it to them.”
“Pfff, if only. I’m on it, though.”
Totty continues to fume as he watches his poor brother try to impress this girl, pretty much in vain. He gets the feeling that nothing Karamatsu says or does is going to be good enough. For some reason, that really pisses him off. Despite the fact that Karamatsu can be a bit much, that he’s overcompensating for being insecure on the inside, that everyone rolls their eyes at him… Karamatsu isn’t a bad guy. He tries hard to make other people happy and treats them with respect. Even his brothers who don’t always return the favor.
By the point Sacchi and Aida are finished making their order, the youngest is ready to explode at this woman. She never even told Karamatsu her name, but she’s spent the whole time talking him down. When she asked what he did ‘besides be super excruciating’, and he told her he didn’t really have a job, she laughed at him. He tried to save it by saying he occasionally played guitar at coffee shops, and she responded something along the lines of, “What kind of hipster loser does that these days??”
Listening to it just makes him so angry. She doesn’t think Karamatsu is attractive, she’s called him embarrassing more than once, and no matter what he does or says, she’s not happy with it. Why the fuck did she even bother going out with him, then?
Totty was worried that Karamatsu was going to screw this up; so far he’s actually managed to be a decent date. He wasn’t prepared for his brother’s date to be the shitty one.
Sacchi brings him a simple iced coffee while Aida returns with the serving tray, a fake smile on her face from laughing uncomfortably at one of the woman’s comments. “God, she’s exhausting.”
“I don’t even know her and I can’t stand her,” Totty mutterrs before taking a sip of his drink. “Why the hell is she treating him like that? He’s just… being himself!”
Being himself. Karamatsu’s really not doing anything wrong. He’s trying to talk himself up when this woman gives him a chance to, but who doesn’t talk themself up on a first date? He just wants to impress her.
It makes Totty feel a little guilty to realize that, honestly, all Karamatsu really wants is to impress everyone because he wants people to like him… including his brothers. If Karamatsu feels the need to seek love and acceptance from strangers like this girl, to the point that he’s willing to put up with the horrible way she’s treating him, what does that say about his brothers? It’s not the first time he’s sucked it up and dealt with something he shouldn’t have from someone just because he wants that person to love him.
His attention is drawn by the woman giggling a little too loudly. “Fuck, you wanna go out with me again? I mean, how do you think this is going? I’m two seconds away from sneaking out the bathroom window. You’re so obnoxious, you dress like an edgy middle schooler, and who wears sunglasses inside, especially when it’s raining outside? You’re, like, cringe incarnate.”
Completely contradicting every statement she made, she slid her hand across the table to take his, if only for a brief moment. The wicked look in her eyes, more sadistic than even Ichimatsu, made Totty’s stomach twist in anger. “I might keep you around, though. You seem like a guy who’d keep me laughing for a while. Maybe next time I’ll take you out with my friends so everyone can laugh at you.”
Oh, that’s it.
He doesn’t know if Karamatsu is oblivious to what she means because he’s blinded and deafened by the promise of another date, or if he knows exactly what she means but perhaps thinks it’s worth it. His eyes light up… and behind that hopeful spark is the pain she’s already put him through.
Baby of the bunch though he is, Totty isn’t going to sit around and twiddle his thumbs while some bitch takes advantage of his big brother.
“Oh, that is sooooo not happening!” he calls as he approaches the table. Although he feels a little bad about just stepping in like this, he’s not gonna let her get away with treating Karamatsu like that. Laughing at him herself was bad enough; parading him in front of her friends for all of them to laugh at him when there’s nothing wrong with Karamatsu isn’t gonna happen if Totty has something to say about it.
The woman gives him an unimpressed look. “Who the fuck are you?”
“T-Totty!!” Karamatsu,  on the other hand, looks immediately panicked. “I can handle this… please, go back and fix your schedule, and I’ll meet you at home.”
“Wait, you work here?” She tilts her head at him. “Oh, shit, hold up. You’re the asshole who messed up my drink last time I was here.” Her gaze flits between the two of them, and she laughs again.
“― Oh, my God! You had to bring your twin brother along to come on a date? You’re pathetic!” Her hand pulls away from Karamatsu’s. “Oh, you’re definitely coming out with me and my friends.”
Totty hisses and pushes her hand away from Karamatsu’s. He steps in front of his big brother to physically block this woman from him. “Keep your hands off him! You’re not taking him anywhere. He’s never seeing you again, because you treated him like… like, fuck, I wouldn’t treat a rock the way you treated him!”
He hears Karamatsu make a noise of almost-protest behind him; he can just imagine the other man sinking down in his seat and trying to hide his face. “Totty, please…”
“No! No, she doesn’t get to just treat you like dirt, Karamatsu-nii-san! You think my brother’s just some kind of dumbass you can show off to your friends and laugh at and treat him like crap?!” he snarls. “Well, guess what? He may be sort of a dumbass sometimes, and maybe he’s a little painful, and maybe he’s not the perfect guy you’re looking for! But he’s a whole hell of a better person than you are!”
Although Totty could kick himself for not saying anything to Karamatsu before, it might be best it’s coming out now. He doesn’t have a lot of time to really think about it or pretend or rehearse. What he’s saying isn’t practiced, it’s real. “Karamatsu is the kindest person I know, and you wish you had at least half the passion he does for the things he likes! Who cares that he wears a shirt with his own face on it? He was bending over backwards to make you happy, even though everything out of your mouth was word barf about how embarrassing he is! And, by the way, you’re wrong!”
It only takes half a step for him to reach over to grab his coffee from the counter, assisted by Aida who’s smirking as she holds it out for him. “If my choice was between you or him, I’d be way less embarrassed to be seen in public with him than with you! He’s not perfect, but he cares about people, and he’s always there when you need him, and ― and all this stuff you think is embarrassing, who the hell gives a shit?! It’s what he wants to do and it’s not hurting anyone! I’d break my phone before I let my big brother go out with someone like you again! Maybe he keeps striking out with dates, but he’s never going to be that desperate!”
He feels a little bad about what he’s about to do. That feeling is mitigated by the fact that at least his coffee isn’t hot.
“And, you know, I actually am sorry about messing up your drink last time. So here, you can have mine!” Almost before he’s finished speaking, he’s dumped his entire cup over her head.
He doesn’t stick around to deal with the aftermath aside from seeing the look of abject horror on the woman’s face as the coffee makes her bad mascara drip. And even though there’s a little bit of guilt over the fact that he’s leaving his coworkers to deal with her, the fact that Sacchi and Aida are cackling while they gather up napkins eases his mind.
He grabs Karamatsu by the hand and leads him out, tossing his coffee cup on the way. There’s not much choice on Karamatsu’s part, except he doesn’t particularly look as if he minds that.
“You didn’t… have to do that, Totty,” Karamatsu mumbles. When Totty glances over, the second eldest looks more tired than anything. He knows that look; the exhaustion of something not working out, of thinking you had a chance only for it to all go up in smoke.
Totty huffs, marching the two of them in the direction that leads back home. “Of course I did! You weren’t going to do it, so someone had to. God… you’ve gotta stop letting people walk all over you, Karamatsu-nii-chan.”
The shift to the more affectionate honorific suggests to Karamatsu that this is really, truly something Totty cares about. He squeezes his baby brother’s hand with a thoughtful hum. “… If that’s the case, perhaps a romance for me just isn’t in the cards. I… really thought it was going to go somewhere this time.”
At last Totty slows slightly, from an aggressive pace to something a little calmer. He’s still pissed off that someone treated Karamatsu like that, and although he’s a bit upset that Karamatsu sit there and let it happen, he knows what it’s like to want people to like you so much that you’ll put up with nearly anything.
However, that’s also the reason he doesn’t want Karamatsu just putting up with it. He deserves so much better than to have people treat him like dirt. It’s not right to do that to anybody, but… especially not to Totty’s big brother.
“I’m sorry I kind of… tapped into Murder Totty in there,” he sighs. “Did I go overboard?”
Karamatsu shrugs. “Maybe a little. But I wasn’t truly enjoying myself and I didn’t want to go on another date with her. I just… didn’t know how to tell her no. I suppose I really am lucky you were there, too.”
Silence falls between them while they walk, then after a moment, Karamatsu clears his throat. “Totty… did you… mean all those things?”
“Huh? All what things?”
“Those things, you know… you said I was… kind and passionate and reliable.” He lets out a soft laugh. “You… you said you’d rather break your phone than let me go out with her again.”
… Oh. He. Did say that, didn’t he?
He pouts a bit, then squeezes Karamatsu’s hand. “Yeah, I meant it. Of course I meant it.”
Beat.
“But as much as I love you, I’m just glad I don’t have to do that.”

a/n: ok I noticed that this a little too long for a drabble(sorry I went overboard 😭) so I just added a cut like 1/4 of the drabble if that’s fine!
Taglist(let me know if you want to be added!): @yunhofingers @strawberrology
Hongjoong has been in his little studio room for what seemed like the past 3 hours. He’s been in there ever since he came back from KQ, editing and tweaking a few songs for his group’s next album.
The only time where the two of you have spoken to each other was during dinner but when you suggested that he should come upstairs to the bedroom with you, he refused, still wanting to work on his projects. You’d at least hope that he took a break since the promotions for Fireworks were already finished.
You’ve been feeling very needy ever since he began promotions with Ateez for ‘Fireworks’, watching him dominate the stage with his ‘leader like’ aura.
Your little problem didn’t let up when you saw your boyfriend in a black suit and tie, making him look handsome. ‘God he’s too good looking..’ You thought to yourself, feeling yourself getting more wet by the second.
As much as you wanted to touch yourself to relieve the aching pain that was building up in your core, you knew better than to play with yourself without your boyfriend’s permission. That’s when another idea came to mind: riling Hongjoong up until he snaps.
You took a short shower before drying your body up, putting on your silk robe without wearing anything under, as this was your plan to rile him up.
You went down to where his studio room was, opening the door.
Hongjoong was still glued to the screen in front of him, not paying attention to anything that was going on in the room.
His jacket that went with the suit was off and his tie was untied, making him 10 times more handsome.
You walked towards him, standing behind where he was sitting.
You gave his shoulders a little massage, trying to see if you could elicit a reaction from him.
Hongjoong jolted a little before giving into the massage, turning to see who was giving him one.
“Ah y/n, you’re here. I thought you may have been a little lonely, come sit here baby.” He pat his lap, commanding you to sit on it.
You felt somewhat relieved that he didn’t forget about you. Hongjoong may have been busy recording songs but deep down he too wishes he could’ve spent a little more time with you.
You tried your best to stay still but you could feel your heat still throbbing inside you.
No longer feeling patient, you began to grind yourself against his crotch, Hongjoong’s actions faltering as his body stiffened.
“F-fucking hell baby, what are you doing?” Your boyfriend groaned lowly, his cock straining against his pants, feeling turned on by your actions.
You didn’t say anything but instead you got off from his lap, removing your robe to show your exposed body.
“Y/n I asked- oh my god-” Hongjoong gasped as he was taking in your naked form, he could’ve sworn he was seeing a goddess right now.
“Don’t you miss playing with your princess huh daddy~?” You asked him in a teasing way.
That would be the catalyst that would make your boyfriend snap as he pinned you roughly to the nearby leather couch.
“Did you had fun teasing me, huh you slut?” He growled against the shell of your ear, landing a strike to your thigh, making you jolt both in pain and pleasure.
“D-daddy please, I’ve been feeling very needy and I just want daddy’s touch so bad!” You whined, squirming a little under him.
“Hm have you been touching yourself doll?” Hongjoong narrowed his eyes at you, your breath hitching at his dark stare.
“N-no daddy I promised!” You whimpered in response.
“I suppose since you’ve been a good girl I have no choice but to give my princess the reward that she deserves.” He stated as you were waiting in anticipation of what was yet to come.
You were too lost in your mind until you felt your boyfriend lick your drenched cunt, making you moan in relief.
“Fuck d-daddy~!” You moaned as your boyfriend ate you out like a man that hasn’t had a meal in forever.
“God baby you’re so fucking wet .” Hongjoong groaned against your core. If he were to be honest, he loved the dinner that he ate earlier, but he thought that you were the best meal of all time.
“Does watching daddy on stage turn you on that much my princess?” He growled, knowing your secret very well, switching in between lapping at your juices and sucking your clit only making you babble incoherent sentences.
“Y-yes daddy!” You sobbed pathetically, his words only bringing you close to the edge as you clutched onto his hair tightly.
“Oh wow I didn’t know that my baby could be such a little slut~” He chuckled darkly, your moans and cries making him rock hard.
“Daddy I’m gonna cum, let me cum, please daddy!” You cried, hoping that he’d let cum.
“Cum you fucking whore.” Hongjoong growled, gripping onto your thigh with an iron grip.
You let out a high pitched moan as you came all over your boyfriend’s face.
You sat there on the couch feeling breathless and fucked out from the orgasm that you just went through while Hongjoong licked off the remaining cum that was on your thighs and his face.
Just as you were breathing became stable again, you felt your boyfriend flip you on all fours before he teased your wet slit with the head of his cock, making you gasp.
“You think I’m done with you princess? We have the whole night my love~”

nat20: I get that y'all are training but can one of you answer? I'm getting worried.
nat20: Akemi, sis, you better fucking answer me.
3:00 PM
Existence Is A Prison
nat20: Akemi, this is breaking law three of being half-siblings. Getcha ass in the chat and fucking respond to me or I'm taking a protective quirk and coming down there myself.
saviour: You will do no such thing. Clearly it's dangerous since the announcement was directed toward all available teachers. That doesn't sound normal to me, even if someone had been just injured. Seiko, it's best to try to make things decently safe for their return instead of hound a response.
life is a nightmare: Six different news sources say that three unidentified people were admitted to a hospital nearby UA, said to have been transported from the USJ, which was attacked this morning by an unidentified villain, the attack being resolved by UA's pro hero staff members only ten minutes ago. Two more people were injured and are supposedly in Recovery Girl's office.

nat20: Five people are hurt!
ranch flavored jello: Yeah, all three pros were hurt.
nat20: Which students got hurt!?
foil-mecha: I think you already know what you're suspecting, Seiko.
nat20: No. No, he's not dead. If Shinsou's dead, I'll personally bring him back to life to scream at him. My little brother isn't dying dammit.
gay salt: Not dead, mon dieu. Shinsou is severely injured but he isn't dead.
nat20: Who else is hurt? That green kid again?
ranch flavored jello: Yeah, Midoriya's hurt again. To be fair, he wasn't thinking about how he was using his quirk, just that he was using it period.
foil-mecha: Hold on, they're calling on Aizawa and Shinsou's condition, I'll do a video chat with you guys.
foil-mecha has started a video chat
The bones in his arms are splintered and he's got facial fracturing. Fortunately there doesn't seem to be any serious brain damage. But his orbital floor has been almost completely destroyed. We have no way of knowing if his eyesight will be impaired or not once he's healed. -Unknown
Well, you heard the man. -Unknown
Sir, what about Thirteen? -Unknown
No need to worry there, despite some pretty bad lacerations to the back, Thirteen is gonna pull through good as new. And AllMight is also without any serious injuries. He's in the nurse's office right now. Recovery Girl's power should be all that he needs.-Unknown
What about Deku!? -Unknown
How's Midoriya? -Unknown
Midoriya? Oh, Recovery Girl was taking care of him too. He's fine.-Unknown
How is Shinsou!? -nat20
Who was that? -Unknown
My half-sibling, we both live in the dorms with Shinsou and Aizawa. They're worried about them. So is the rest of the class 1-B students that live in the dorms with us. -gay salt
Shinsou has a mild concussion, a severe bruised nasal bone, and his jawbone was fractured so he needs to have his jaw wired shut for a bit until he's back to being strong enough for Recovery Girl to heal him. He should be better in about a week or two.-Unknown
What the fuck happened to him that he got that badly hurt? -life is a nightmare
During the villain attack, Shinsou decided to fight alongside Mr. Aizawa. against the villains and this big monster thing was hurting Mr. Aizawa and this creepy guy was about to hurt Asui, Mineta, and Midoriya. -ranch flavored jello
Call me Tsu. -Unknown
Tsu, Mineta, and Midoriya. But Shinsou got the creepy guy to respond to him with the mist guy's voice and he brainwashed him. Then the monster hit his face into the ground really hard. But he covered Mr. Aizawa with his own body and got his face hit down again. -ranch flavored jello
Shinsou was really out of it, ribbit. He was calling Mr. Aizawa his dad.-Unknown
Tsu, Mr. Aizawa legally adopted Shinsou as of 8 o'clock this morning. -ranch flavored jello
I'm gonna hang up, we're all gonna head back. I'll visit you Seiko. -gay salt
You better. -nat20

gay salt: rip to you, Kageya, but me and Seiko need our beauty sleep.
nat20: so go to sleep, Kageya, you need to sleep.
2:16 PM
Existence Is A Prison
saviour: I'm pre-making some easy meals since they both have facial damage and need softer foods.
farmer toshi: What are you making?
saviour: Well, I have Seiko working on frozen smoothie bags. Kiyomi is helping precook some vegetables and stuff that can be blended down to baby food consistency. Pony's really good at making homemade juice so she's making you juice with lots of protein and stuff so you don't loose too much weight and set your progress back.
ranch flavored jello: Me, Akemi, and Fumikage are making soft food for you both once Toshi gets his wires off. We've been making a lot of soup. We may have gone overboard.
ranch flavored jello: So far we have chicken soup, broccoli and cheese, potato soup, split pea soup, egg drop soup, cheese soup, soft curry, corn chowder, turkey rice soup, ham chowder, cheeseburger soup, creamy meatball soup, chicken cordon bleu soup, chicken pot pie soup, and and miso soup.
farmer toshi: You guys are so sweet. Thank you so much. I wish I could hug you guys right now but they want me in the hospital today for observation.
gay salt: I expect a hug when you come home.
feral cat dad is now online
nat20: DAD'S BACK!
feral cat dad: Hello, dorm children. This is Mr. Yamada, Mr. Aizawa told me to tell you all thank you for making him and Hitoshi food for when they come back on Friday.
pure: It was nothing! We want to help them get better as fast as possible and, to do that, we need to keep them healthy!
feral cat dad: I'll add myself so Shouta can have his phone back.
feral cat dad has added Yamada
farmer toshi has changed Yamada's name to President Megaphone
nat20: Wow, you don't waste a second, do you?
farmer toshi: I didn't when I was attacking villains in the USJ.
schrodinger better run: What happened in there, by the way? My phone went missing yesterday and the day before and I finally found it last night.
farmer toshi: Well, you see, some wannabe criminals calling themselves the League of Villains teleported themselves into the USJ just before we were about to start training and our communal father figure was about to go fight them and all my instinct just told me to follow him so I did.
President Megaphone: Kid, you really don't have to tell them just because you live with them.
farmer toshi: These are basically my adopted siblings, Mr. Yamada. Of course I want to tell them.
farmer toshi: Anyway, so I was fighting thugs and Dad had already gotten to this "Shigaraki" dude who was like their leader or whatever and the fucker decayed his right elbow and I was trying hard to get to him but the fucking cronies wouldn't let me by them.
farmer toshi: Then this huge fucking monster grabbed Dad and hit him into the ground and broke his arms. That thing couldn't be human, it's brain was out and it was like 9 feet tall.
farmer toshi: That Shigaraki fucker spoke to me. I can't even remember what about, but he was mocking me, I can tell. But the teleporter told him they needed to leave because Iida had made it out by that point.
farmer toshi: So this fucker tries to decay either Midoriya, Asui, or Mineta to "break AllMight". But I used the teleporter's voice to brainwash him and that monster hit my head into the ground like he did with Dad for brainwashing its friend.
farmer toshi: I knew Dad was out because the thing had hit his head into the ground again and knocked him out and that thing would try to hurt him again if I didn't do something. So I put myself on top of him because I couldn't lose a Dad I just finally got. But the monster hit my head down again.
farmer toshi: I had finally managed to get up to get me and Dad out of there when AllMight showed up. AllMight put us on a stair landing and I had to get up the rest of the way. Another villain tried to get us while I was getting him up there to get out but I just stabbed her and pushed her down the stairs.
farmer toshi: Mind you, I was running on adrenaline this whole time. So, when the UA teachers came in, I was pretty numb emotionally because I was basically out of steam but I wanted to get Dad out of there so I kept going until Sero and Uraraka helped me up the rest of the stairs while the teachers got there.
farmer toshi: I'm pretty sure Snipe is who caught me but then I just passed out and woke up in the hospital not being able to speak and had a panic attack.
feral cat dad: I've figured out speech to text and I appreciate what you did for me, Hitoshi, but I was worried about you when that thing had me. I don't want you dying to protect me.
farmer toshi: Trust me, I don't plan to nearly die again. The headache was killer and I'd rather never experience that again.
feral cat dad: Good. Now, make sure you rest, kids.
2:15 AM
private chat with Bakugou and Yamada
Bakugou: Look, I know it's late, but my mother kicked me out and she's disowned me because she now wants me to drop from UA and I won't do it. I need somewhere to stay and I know Aoyama and them were talking about dorms yesterday after the USJ incident.
Yamada: It doesn't matter if it's ideal. Head to the school, I'll come get you inside and we'll go for your stuff from your parents' house tomorrow after school and I'm putting a rush order for emergency UA protection for your custody right now.
Bakugou: I think I need Recovery Girl, she got my arms pretty bad. I'm losing blood like crazy and I can barely grab things to keep going but my leg is sprained so I need help moving.
Yamada: We can worry about healing injuries once you're here. Until then, just be safe and get here as fast as you can. If you can't make it here, then I'll come get you.
Yamada: Just keep responding, little listener. How bad are your injuries?

Butterflies Part Two
Pairing: Collin x Black!Reader, Plus Size!Reader
Summary: Collin and Reader try to figure out where they stand after their moment a few nights ago.
Rating: M for language
AN: I changed Collin’s major to Creative Writing/Poetry. I don’t know why I didn’t do this in the first place, I was over here thinking of what major would Collin have, and it went over my head so yeah, here it is. Again, this is still set in 2020. Let me know if you want to be tagged. There are about two more parts to this
Part One Part Two Part Three
Tumblr media
Shaunice Jasmine Turner was born in the wee hours of the morning on July 26, 2020. You were so happy for your friends and the little family they were building.
“You look pretty comfortable holding Shaunice, Y/N.” Ashely teased, it was just the two of you for now. Collin went with Miles to get some breakfast for Jasmine and to pick up Sean so he could meet his little sister.
“Girl bye, I mean the thought has crossed my mind, but I want to have my salon up and running before I even think about having kids.”
“Bish, I used to say that about my non-existent art gallery, and I got two kids now.”
“I mean you could still paint, Ashley.”
“I could, but painting don’t pay the bills. The rent is ridiculous and trying to get a loan from the bank…” Ashely trailed off
“But it’s all good, I wouldn’t change anything,” Ashely smiled at her daughter, “So, what happened when Collin came back from Val’s?”
“Uh, nothing I twisted his hair and that’s when we got the text from Miles.” Ashely examined your face; she’s known you long enough to know when you’re lying.
“Y/N, give me the baby.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re avoiding eye contact, give me my daughter.” You playfully huffed and handed over Shaunice to your friend, “Now, tell me what really happened last night?”
“Well, when he came back, I was a little mad because I’m over here actually being a friend and he drop everything for a booty call. He’s staying with me rent-free, I visited him when he was locked up, put money on his books, shit, I used to let this nigga cheat off me in Chemistry back in high school. Then he tries to kiss me—”
“He what!”
“Yeah and I don’t know what to think about that, because I know that once Val calls, he gonna run after her, like what is it? Does sis have some magic pussy or some shit?”
“Y/N…”
“I know that’s your friend, but she never once checked on him and I don’t know. I’m right in front of him and he doesn’t see me.”
“Make him see you, sis.”
“Well, how the hell do I do that?”
“Bring another nigga around,” You looked wide-eyed at your friend
“Ash!”
“Girl, bye, what about that chef you was tellin’ me about? Hit him up and bring him around Collin.”
“So, you think making him jealous is gonna work?” Ashely didn’t have time to answer because Sean came bursting into the room running over to Ashely’s bed
“Is she here? Is she here Mom?!” Sean asked bouncing with excitement
“Calm down, baby. Yes, she’s here, where’s Dad?”
“Right here, as soon as we got off the elevator he ran off. He’s been asking about the baby since we picked him up from Ms. Nancy’s. Here’s your food babe.” Miles placed the take-out bag on the table and kissed Ashely’s forehead, Collin trailed behind and once he looked at you he adverted his eyes somewhere else.
“Sean, go use the bathroom then you can hold your sister. Miles can you take Shaunice so I can eat, I’m starving.”
“So, what were you two talking about before we got here?” Miles asked,
“Nothing much, I asked Ashely if you were gonna give her a push present.”
“The fuck is that?”
“A present for pushing out your baby!” You nudged Miles’s shoulder.
“What you want baby, a gift card, or some shit like that?”
“Miles, you can’t get her no damn gift card.” Collin reasoned
“Why the fuck not?”
“Because that’s a boring-ass gift, you gotta get her some jewelry or a car, shit like that.”
“Baby, I can hit up my boy Cuttie—”
“Hell no, every time you get something from Cuttie, it’s either stolen or it don’t work.”
“Ash, that’s not true!”
“What about the bike you got from him for Sean’s birthday? Cuttie stole it!” You said
“I ain’t know that shit when he gave me that bike!”
“Then you bought Ashely that purse for Christmas and the Gucci was spelled wrong.”
“It was not, Collin!”
“Babe, Gucci only got two c’s.” Miles looked stunned for a moment before sucking his teeth
“How the hell was I supposed to know that!” Your phone then went off several times even surprising you.
“Who hittin’ you up, Y/N?” Miles teased
“Nobody, just a friend”
“Stop lyin, Y/N, got a date with this ‘friend’ tonight,” Ashely announced earning a glare from you.
“Oh shit, for real!” Miles exclaimed
“Yeah, he’s nice, um he just moved out here from Detroit. He’s a chef and has his own meal prep business.” It wasn’t a lie, you had met a guy on Tinder a few weeks ago and the two of you have been talking to one another.
“So, he be making all that vegan shit?”
“What’s vegan shit?” Sean questioned innocently
“Miles!” Ashely slapped his arm
“What? I cuss all the damn time, it was gonna happen sooner or later babe.” Ashely glared at her husband not amused in the slightest “Alright, alright, Sean don’t say ‘shit’ it’s a bad word, now come over here and sit down in the chair and I’ll let you hold your baby sister.”
While Miles and Ashely were introducing Sean to Shaunice, Collin walked over to you wanting to know more about your ‘date’.
“So, what’s this guy’s name?”
“Um, I’m sorry since when did I have to answer to you, Collin?”
“I’m just askin’ his name. Want to know the person who’s taking my friend out.”
“You’ll find out tonight—”
“Hey, guys!” Everyone’s heads turned toward the door and there stood Val with various pink balloons and a teddy bear
“Hey, Val!” Ashely greeted, she practically ran over to Ashely and engulfed her in a hug.
“Congratulations, girl.” Val looked over at Miles and her smile faded slightly
“You too, Miles,” She looked over at Collin and acted like he wasn’t even there. At that point, you wanted to slap the hell out this bitch, but this wasn’t the time.
“Guys, I have appointments today I gotta head out. I’ll visit when you get home, okay?” Ashely nodded, understanding your need to leave the room.
“See you later?”
“Yeah, bye guys, and congrats again.”
You stood in front of your bathroom mirror getting ready for your date with Trevon. The two of you had been texting one another all day, you even FaceTimed him briefly between clients.
“I don’t wanna spit, I wanna gulp, I wanna gag, I wanna choke, I want you to touch that lil dangly thing that swing in the back of my throat.” You rapped along to the song that made you feel like a bad bitch, Trevon didn’t give you much of a hint as to what the two of you were going to do tonight, but he said to be casual. So, you didn’t go too overboard with your outfit. This was your first date in a while because of your schedule you didn’t have time to date between the hair and makeup clients, on the day you didn’t have to work you stayed home or hung out with friends or your big brother.
“Alright, you got this.” You said to yourself in the mirror, “You a bad bitch. You the baddest bitch, period.”
You came out of the bathroom and immediately bumped into Collin.
“My bad didn’t see you there.”
“Your date is here.” Collin went into the bathroom closing the door firmly. You rolled your eyes at your friend and walked out to the living room to finally see your date, Trevon.
“Wow, you look great, Y/N.” Trevon beamed, you smiled shyly in return
“Thanks, you do too. You ready to go?”
“After you,”
You carefully shut the front door to your apartment not wanting to wake up Collin, knowing that he was a light sleeper and this was his only day off. You couldn’t help but smile about your date with Trevon last night. After he picked you up, he took you to play mini-golf and then after you went go-cart racing. It honestly the most fun you ever had on a first date. Not wanting to go home, the two of you ended up bar hopping the rest of the night until the two of you passed out on his sofa. The smell of breakfast pulled you of your thoughts. You made your way to the kitchen only to see Val in your kitchen cooking at your stove wearing only one of Collin’s Oakland shirts and underwear.
“Excuse me?”
“Oh, hey Y/N. You want breakfast?”
“What are you doing here, Val?”
“Collin invited me over last night.” She smirked going back to cooking.
“Can you please put some pants on?”
“Well, Collin doesn’t seem to have a problem with what I’m wearing.”
“Hm, that’s cute but this isn’t Collin’s place, it’s my place and I don’t want your ass cheeks out in my kitchen. ‘Kay?”
“Whatever.”
“Um, where’s Collin?”
“He’s in the shower, I think. Oh, do you have any almond milk?”
“No, bitch I drink soy.” You mumbled storming past her heading for the bathroom. You angrily opened the door surprising Collin, who quickly reached for his towel to cover himself.
“What the fuck, Y/N! Can you knock?”
“What the hell is she doing here?!”
“Oh, what, I can’t have guests over?”
“That’s not the point, why in the fuck is she cooking in my kitchen with no clothes on!”
“She was hungry, what was I supposed to do?”
“Collin, I need you to tell me when you have company.”
“I don’t see why I have to tell you,”
“It’s the principle, Collin! What if you came home and my date, dick swingin’—”
“Oh, come on, Y/N,” Collin frowned, not appreciating the imagery
“Shut up, making breakfast in the damn kitchen?”
“This isn’t even about the principle it’s about you not liking Val!”
“No, it’s because you living in my place RENT FREE and I need to you who you have up in here!”
“Oh, so that’s what this is all about?” You rubbed your temples in frustration
“No, Collin—”
“Collin, breakfast’s ready,” Val called through the door.
“Go eat with your guest, wouldn’t want your food to get cold.”  You said before leaving the bathroom.

You burst through your apartment door with a new rage overthrowing your recent grief, Diego’s right on your tail, trying to catch up with you the best he can. Your strides are fast as you march hastily through the small room, heading straight for Five. “You boy scout looking fuck. Do you have any idea what you’ve just caused?” You growl launching yourself at him with fists in the air, without warning Luther catches you before you can really tear into Five. “No! Let me go you fucking monkey boy, get your hands off of me!” You yell at him, as he lifts you up off the ground, “I can do this as long as it takes you to calm down.” Says Luther calmly. You continue to struggle in his strong grasp, seriously contemplating if you’ve lost it enough to bite him before Diego sets a hand on your tense shoulder. Further stopping you before you can find a way to break free by injuring Luther, “Y/N, please.”
You make a lowly animistic sound, like that of a beaten circus tiger, as you stop struggling, “Fine.” Luther then sets you down.
“Now, wanna tell us what you’re talkin’ about?”
You glare at Five, still upset from finding Eudora dead in that motel room. You were gonna have lunch with her on Friday and then explain why Diego’s been so persistent about the shootings. You hadn’t had a chance to talk with her yet. And now you never will.
“Your brother’s been pretty busy since he got back. He was in the middle of that shootout at Giddy’s, and then at Gimble Brothers, after those masked psychos attacked the Academy, looking for him.” You snap, staring daggers at Five.
He barely moves a muscle, “None of which is any of your concern.” He mutters calmly, way to damn calmly for you.
You scowl at him in annoyance, “It is now you little shit. They just killed my friend.” You vent back, stepping in closer, Diego has to grab your arm from tearing into the tiny 58 year old man in front of you.
“Who are they Five?” Questions Luther, breaking the tense atmosphere.
“And where the hell are they from?” Adds Diego, hand still firmly grasping your arm.
Five gives you all a tired look, “They work for my formal employer at the commission. A woman called the Handler. She sent them...to stop me. Then as soon as Y/N and Diego’s friend got in their way, well, fair game.” Five shrugs, so this is just business is business to him.
“Well they’re my fair game now. And I’ll make sure of it that they pay in blood.” You sneer, turning around and walking briskly towards the door, Diego hot on your tail.
“That would be a mistake Diego, for you to let her go.....They’ve killed people far more dangerous then you think.” Calls Five, you stop by the railing to look back at him.
“I’d like to see them try and kill me then....the next time I see them will be when I drive my dagger into their throats.” You growl with malice, turning away from them to walk out the door.
Luther looks to Diego and then back at Five with a stunned face, “I don’t care what she does. She just better not miss.” Says Five with a sigh, as Diego nods while making towards the open door.
You get into the passenger seat as Diego takes the steering wheel, he turns the car on, turning to look at you, “Are you okay?” He whispers gently. You stare vacantly out the side window, “No. Just drive.” You mumble sadly, you’re trying to be strong but one of your only friends has just been killed violently by two masked psychopaths. It’s a bit difficult if you’re being honest, but you’re too numb with silent fury to cry at the moment.
He nods in understanding, putting the car into drive and taking off.
——
You stand silently in Diego’s doorway at the Umbrella Academy, he pulls out a metal briefcase from under his bed, and opens it up. It’s his old knife case, he then puts his remaining free knifes that are hiding on him in the case. He quickly shuts it and locks it up, leaving it on the floor to stand up and walk over to you. “Do you have anything you need to get before we head out?” He says while holding the sides of your arms. You look up at him, “I am all that I need.” You whisper valiantly, meaning absolutely every word, underlying so much more behind that small sentence.
Your mind flashes back to your younger days when you were fighting alongside with the Umbrella Academy, you had wanted so badly to prove that you belonged among them. Your mindset solely focused on accomplishing the mission successfully, hoping that Reginald would be satisfied with your hard work. Through your attempts, you may have went a little overboard, losing control at times, lashing out furiously on the enemy. You turned into something incredibly dangerous, but at the time all you saw was a warrior, a hero, a vital piece of the Umbrella Academy that could not be held back. You were so lost in your own success and the satisfaction of Sir Reginald that you didn’t notice when the Umbrella Academy was starting to become afraid of you. It was the most lonely and darkest couple weeks of your life that you’d ever felt, and you couldn’t fully understand why they wouldn’t want to play with you. It started on a mission, you’d just discovered that whenever you were completely in full rage mode, your eyes would turn the color of molten lava, a deep orange, perhaps your body’s way of showing off the raging fire within you, or so you’d tell yourself. Quite opposite of your original eye color. You’d never realized it before until Allison pointed it out after an intense mission once. To keep a long story short, you killed a bunch of terrorists who were about to kill your friends. You tore into them wildly, your eyes practically glowing embers. You were breathing heavily and covered in other people’s blood by the time you were done. For a week they wouldn’t even look at you, it took longer for Ben to come around. And you absolutely hated yourself for it. Of course Reginald was ecstatic, mentioning your achievement at dinner one night, of how you unlocked a hidden power within yourself and that the others should strive to do the same. The rest of them fumed in jealousy, deciding to ignore you for awhile as payback, since they couldn’t hurt you physically. And they were to scared about what you could have done back at them. You felt like a caged lioness, a powerful and deadly creature, being taunted and stared at from afar by snotty children who are safe and content behind the thick glass.
But life goes on, and you’ve sacrificed yourself for them a couple hundred times since then, more then they’ll ever be able to repay. With time they began to understand you better, and amazingly to your great surprise Diego, out of all people, had a ginormous crush on you. Which led to even more wonderful things you’re scared little 13 year old self could never have even dreamed of. You got older, stopping caring about Reginald’s approval, and moved on with your life. Things got much better after that.
Your wandering mind comes back to reality when Diego kisses your forehead, he understands your somber silence, choosing to comfort you in the best way he possibly can. He releases you, turning to pick up his silver briefcase as you take a step out the door. Waiting a brief moment for your vigilante lover to catch up with you.
As you walk down the stairs and across the messy carpet past the damaged fallen chandelier. You notice Klaus who’s standing by the broken crushed table, he looks a bit lost and out of it. Oddly enough it’s not from any alcohol consumption or other substances. At least that you can smell, he’s clean.
“What happened here?” Klaus asks curiously, you look over to him with a casual shrug.
“Long story.” You add, not really wanting to get into details right now.
“You look like shit.” Diego tells him dryly.
“Why, thank you. Hey, where are you two going?” Wonders Klaus, watching the two of you head for the door. “Nope.” Snaps Diego quickly, Klaus’ face falls at his denied request.
“I’m not giving you a ride.” Grumbles Diego, who’s stopped walking to look at Klaus.
“Oh, come on, man. You know I can’t drive.” He whines, moving in closer to Diego. You stand with your arms crossed by the fallen chandelier, patiently watching the brotherly interaction between the two of them, who’re directly in front of you.
Diego shakes his head, “I don’t c..” You suddenly cut him off, “Go get your shit. We’ll be in the car.” Klaus’ face breaks out into a grateful smile, he laughs lightly before patting Diego on the chest, turning to get his things. “Okay, great. I’ll just get my things. Two minutes.” He says happily, rushing past you with a grin to get whatever it is that Klaus needs.
Diego turns around to give you a what-the-hell kinda look, you casually shrug, “He said two minutes.....and he looks like he could use some friendly interaction.” Diego just sighs, nodding in agreement, “Yeah alright...but only because you’ll be with me.” He replies, before turning towards the door.
You smack his bum as you scoot past him, “It’ll be fun, just like old times.” You quip while Diego shakes his head in amusement, following you out the door.
——
You’re comfortably sprawled out in the backseat, feeling the dull roll of the car moving speedily down the road, while you listen to the hum of the engine. Diego drives, as Klaus drinks from a wine bottle, looking dismally out the window. “You okay?” Diego says after a quiet couple minutes, not getting anything from Klaus, who takes another swig. “Wow. This is a first. My brother Klaus is silent. How bout’ that Y/N.” Diego glances at Klaus again, “Last time you were this quiet, we were 12. Ran down the stairs wearing Grace’s heels, tripped over, and broke your jaw. How long was it wired shut again?” He wonders.
“Eight weeks.” Whispers Klaus tiredly, still staring out the window.
“Eight glorious weeks of bliss.” Smiles Diego, you sit up sticking your head between the two of them. “And I missed out on it all, damn.” You mutter, trying to mentally visualize the whole scenario. Klaus suddenly lifts his head up, “Hey, just....just drop me off here.” Diego nods, you look across the street at the building in mind, Lakeshore VFW, but that’s where the veterans go? None of you have ever been in the army, at least that you know of.
Diego pulls into the small parking lot, Klaus jumping out as soon as he stops, now you’re very confused. “You sure you’re all good, Klaus?” You call after him, he ignores you as he nervously walks up to the door, opening it and walking inside. You look over to Diego who’s equally as puzzled, he turns around about to start the car again. When you instantly reach your hand out to touch his shoulder, “Wait, I’m gonna go in and see what’s up with Klaus.” Diego stops, turning his neck to look at you, “I guess I better go in too. Not that you couldn’t handle yourself Y/N...I mean Klaus probably needs me an...”
“Diego.” You deadpan, shutting him up instantly. He takes the keys out of the ignition, as you open up your door, Diego doing the same. The two of you then start walking towards the entrance, clueless as to why Klaus would have wanted to stop here.
You walk in, finding him moping around some old WWll photographs, you sigh, beginning to walk over to Klaus, Diego right behind you. Throwing a hand on Klaus’ shoulder you unintentionally startle him, “Just go away, please.” He asks you, while rubbing his eyes. You let go of his shoulder, half-sitting yourself against the pool table, Diego steps up next to him, “Not until you talk to us.”
“Is that a threat? You threatening me?” He mutters, annoyed that you two won’t leave him alone. Suddenly a random guy to your left walks up to the three of you, “Guys. This bar? It’s for vets only.” He states, urging you all to leave.
“I am a vet.” Says Klaus, by the way he announces it, you can sense he’s not lying. But how would he have been a vet. Something wrong definitely happened in that whole day he was missing.
The veteran chuckles, not believing him in the slightest, “Really? Where’d you serve?” He says amused, glancing back at his friends. “None of your business.” Snaps Klaus defensively. The grumpy vet starts to lose his humor, and apparently his temper too. His face falling, “You got balls comin’ in here, pretendin’ you’re one of us.” You glance at Diego, who gives you a what-is-even-happening, look. Klaus turns around, “Oh, I have every right to be here, just like you. Asshole.” He says growling the last word. Shit. The large and pissed off vet takes a step closer, you step in front of Klaus, raising your hands up to stop him, “Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Easy now, soldier. All right? My friend here has had one too many.” You look to his friends beginning to gather around behind him, then back to him, “Let’s just call it a day, all go our own way. No harm done.” You tell him, doing your best to reason with him and get out of here without a brawl. “Sure thing.” He says bluntly, but you’re unconvinced. “Thank you.” You answer anyway, trying to move things along, you turn to Klaus and Diego, “Let’s go..” “As long as you apologize.” Interrupts the vet, Klaus looks back at the photographs giggling to himself. You give Diego a defeated look, as you turn around to face the vet again. “Fine. I’m sorry. He’s sorry. We’re all sorry. So...are we good?” You tell him, restraining a sour tone the best you can physically muster. He looks at you, pointing to Klaus, “I wanna hear him say it.”
“Hey, man. I’m just trying to..” “No, no. He’s right Y/N. He‘s right. He’s right.” Interrupts Klaus, turning around to face the angry vet and his buddies. “I’d like to apologize...that you...are depriving some village of their idiot!” Growls Klaus, this not sitting very well with the vet. He swings at Klaus but misses when Klaus swiftly ducks, standing up again to head butt the guy. The guy staggers back, his buddy throwing a fist up to catch Klaus across the head. But before he has a chance Diego rushes in, deflecting the punch and kneeing the guy in the stomach. “Seriously.” You groan at all of them. Klaus running past you to jump on the back of another random guy who’s ready to fight.
You roll your eyes, men. Deciding enough is enough you spring into action, it only takes you about 10 seconds before they’re all groaning in pain on the ground, dazed as to how you just took them all out so fast. You stand near the exit, adjusting your jacket. “Let’s go. Right fucking now.” You snarl at Diego and Klaus, who instantly get up off the floor, making a beeline for the door.
——
You’re sitting in the backseat of Diego’s car, him at the steering wheel and Klaus in the passenger seat. Your little trio parked across the street from Giddy’s Donuts. “You got a big mouth, you know that?” States Diego, referring to Klaus’ jabs at that old grumpy vet. “Oh, wow. What a truly shocking revelation, Diego.” Mumbles Klaus unamused, as he goes to open up a bag of pills. “Everything’s a big joke to you, right? Would you stop it?” Diego yells, grabbing the pill bag out of Klaus’ hands. “Why are you putting this shit in your body?” Interrogates Diego, not being able to understand why his brother always does this over and over again.
Klaus blows a raspberry into the air, in frustrated defeat. “Check this out Hmm?” Says Diego as he lifts up his black sweater, where he then pats his toned stomach. “My body is a temple. All that shit you do, it’s just weakness.”He states. You lean up closer in between the two of them.
“That’s so inspirational.” You add sarcastically, earning a small snort form Klaus.
“Well weakness feels so good.” Klaus then reaches his hand up to take a pill, Diego reacting fast as he smacks it out of his hand.
“What’s going on with you? Huh?”
“Don’t hit me asshole!” Yells Klaus, you just sit back and watch the show, Diego leaning in closer as he jabs a finger at him, “Don’t tell me everything is all right, because I saw you in there. You were crying like a baby!” Explains Diego loudly, you covering your ears a bit at his explosion. “Because I lost someone.” Barks Klaus, who looks down at his hands, sighing sadly, “I lost someone. The only...The only person I ever truly loved more then myself.” You sit up again, looking between the two of them. Diego looks out the front window with a puzzled look on his face, not expecting that answer. Klaus just gives you a sad smile, “Cheers.” He says, popping a colorful pill in his mouth.
“Well you’re luckier then most. At least you can still see them...when they....yeah.” You whisper quietly, thinking about your parents and Patch. You lean back into the backseat, turning your head left to look out the window. Diego turns his neck to look at you, about to say something before he catches sight of Hazel through the back window, who’s breaking into a car. “That’s our guy.” You sit up, turning around to see for yourself, “Huh. No shit.”
“Hey, I know that guy.” Adds Klaus, watching Hazel through the side mirror. “How could you possibly know that...” Begins Diego.
“He and a really angry lady tortured me. I barely got out with my life.” Explains Klaus, revealing a heavy part that you missed. You furrow your brows frowning, “Cha-Cha.” You mutter quietly to yourself. These psychos are dead. Diego abruptly starts the engine, pulling out to follow Hazel to wherever he’s going next. And so the hunt begins.
——
The three of you sit in the car, outside of the crappy motel that Hazel unknowingly lead you to. Klaus is sipping on his bottle of wine, while Diego scans the area, you watching the motel windows closely. You suddenly spot movement coming from the blinds of one on the upper floor, on closer inspection it’s a woman, looking incredibly familiar, that must be Cha-Cha. “Bingo.”
Diego looks up, catching a flash of her hand, as the curtains conceal the rest of her. You get out of the car and wait for Diego as he takes out a knife, Klaus just looking at you two bored, “You know killing these people is not gonna make you feel any better, Y/N.” Adds Klaus. You stop for a second to think about why you’re doing this. Diego’s here to avenge a friend, but you’ve kinda been leading the charge this whole time. After all, you were closer friends with Patch then Diego was, and you also know that these fuckers have murdered countless other innocents. They must die, and you’re the best person to do it.
You lean down by the window to look at Klaus, “They killed my friend and countless other innocent people, kill one save a thousand.” You growl, standing back up at the sound of a door opening. You look up, watching as Hazel walks out the door and down the hallway, out of sight. You quickly follow, leaving Diego and Klaus to argue about something from behind you.
Turning a corner, you silently walk up the metal steps to the second floor, Diego practically materializing behind you, daggers out and ready to fight. You both reach the top, but before any of you have time to move Klaus walks up, “So, what exactly is the plan here, you two lovers in crime...fighting?” Muses Klaus, making it to the top steps. “I told you to wait in the car.” Grumbles Diego who gives you a look, “Yeah, but you also told me that licking a nine-volt battery would give me pubes.” You raise an eyebrow at Diego, “We were eight.” Klaus just looks up at Diego giving a shrug as he takes a couple steps. Diego grabs is arm, stopping him quickly as he pulls him down the steps, you’re watching this half annoyed and half holding in laughter. Diego then races back up the stairs, giving you a confident nod as he turns towards the blue motel door. Giving it a hard kick, the door swings open, revealing nothing on the inside but a tv blaring loudly with some western cowboy movie on. “Very subtle.” You quip, slightly irked at how less then clever his surprise ambush was. You turn to the right, looking down at the parking lot as you unexpectedly hear the scratching of tires on pavement. What the hell?
You move towards the railing as a blue car comes speeding into view, with Hazel and Cha-Cha in their familiar get up of Halloween masks and guns. That are now shooting deadly bullets at you and Diego, oh shit Diego. Without warning a bullet rips into your right upper shoulder where your arm and torso meet. A second slicing just below your bellybutton. Diego grabs at you, hauling you backwards as another bullets clips him in the forearm. To your great surprise, Klaus pulls the both of you back even further, evidently helping the two of you avoid getting shot again.
“Oh, man. See? Used to think I was an idiot?” Sasses Klaus at a panting Diego.
“I still think you’re an idiot.” He claps back, holding onto his left arm, where the bullet went through.
You on the other hand are leaning against the staircase railing, sucking in pained breaths as you slowly feel the bullets getting pushes out of you. The flesh beginning to fuse back together once again, Diego and Klaus finally look over to you. “Y/N, you alright?” Wonders Klaus. You glare up at him still grimacing in pain, “No.” You wheeze, shutting your eyes tight, as both bullets are being forced out of you by the rapid healing process, ultimately at long last they drop to the floor, making a ringing sound as they hit the metal staircase. You stand up straight once again, your eyes going wide in realization, “They’re getting away!” You blurt out, racing down the steps, Diego and Klaus hot on your heels. When the three of you make it back to Diego’s car, you notice how the front tire is completely flat. You all groan in frustration, now what? “Was this all part of your master plan?” Doubts Klaus, miffed that no one has a ride now. “Shut up.” Snaps Diego, looking around for something that could assist in the matter.
You look up to the sky, putting your hands on your hips, “Fucking fuck.” You whine loudly to the sky or birds or whoever would listen, snapping your head back down, your eyes land on the large ice cream truck. Parked ever so sweetly and conveniently in front of you. With a new idea fresh in your mind you walk past Diego and Klaus, stopping in front of the white and cutely designed truck. “I found our ride.”
They turn to look at you, Klaus smiling in excitement as Diego’s face falls. “I’ll drive.” Blurts out an ecstatic Klaus.
——
Sticking your head out the window you catch the scent of Hazel and Cha-Cha, they smell of gun powder, fast food, and death. So it wasn’t exactly that difficult to get on their trail. Gosh I’m just like a frickin bloodhound, you think. You sit on the right side while Klaus drives, Diego slumped in the middle seat, putting pressure on his wound. Why you let Klaus drive? You’re pretty sure you have some bullet fragments still stuck in your shoulder, no you definitely do. Why else would it still feel sore, damn you’re gonna have to take those out later.
Now that you look at your surroundings, there’s nothing but trees and farm fields. Plus Luther and Five, standing next to a parked car on the road, while Hazel and Cha-Cha point guns at you from further down the road. Shit. You hold on tight as Klaus manically laughs while plowing into the two assassins. Everything happens so fast and the next second you’re jostled again when the ice cream truck rams right into their getaway car. You smack your head off the window, cracking the glass, as Diego gets shoved into the dashboard. “Fuck.” You seethe through clenched teeth, bringing your hand up to touch the spot on your head. No blood is felt to your great relief and now the pain is gone, unlike Diego who’s clutching his injured arm in pain.
You hear Klaus yelling for you two to get out, not wanting to wait for Diego’s slow ass to make it out of the truck. You kick your door open, breaking the lock in the process, oh well. Not dwelling on the matter, you book it to the other side where Luther and Klaus are holding up Diego as they start running for Luther’s car, without a second thought you follow them, not caring enough to bother with either Hazel or Cha-Cha. You’ll get your chance, the safety of your family is way more important at the moment.
You run around to the passenger side of Luther’s car, Klaus and Diego taking the back, as Luther gets into the drivers seat, hitting the gas and flooring it.

hi!!! I love your fic (ghost hunters, lies & money) so so much!! oh and for the ask game, 🧑💎💡📒🎤 please. have a lovely day/night!
An ask? Aww, thank yoooou!!! :D
favorite character to write
Ooooh, good question! I love writing each member of our SPR team for different reasons, buuut... if I *had* to pick...I think I have the most fun writing Bou-san? He's just so spontaneous! His antics and wise cracks are just such a joy to incorporate into a scene. I feel like he springs to life in my head, and I'm just along for the ride. But then there's a side of him that's so passionate, and caring, and gentle...in case you can't tell, his dynamic with Mai is one of my very favorites to write <3 Ah, I have so much love for our Monk :)
fave trope to write
Ho ho ho, I'm a trope queen. You'll probably see them weaved all through my writing I hope you like tropes loool :D Picking one to rise above them all? Partners (work/school) to lovers. That “mutual pining” vibe is my thiiing. You know, they see each other everyday in a very ordinary way (or in some cases in very intense situations, like say...life or death ghost hunting? ^_^) and slowly grow accustom to each other, learn their likes/dislikes, their quirks...accepting them (you know you gotta work to make the partnership work right?), until they don't just accept them...they loooove them <3 They live in this “some” state: something is going on, but it's so quiet or fragile they don't name it. They just keep letting grow, and things like no-personal-space and “casual” touching start to happen. Oh wow. I could go on and on. But yes, partners to lovers. That's my ultimate trope I think! I mean: Mairu anyone? ;)
what inspires your fic ideas?
Oh gosh, I don't think I've ever been asked this? Good one! Let me think...well, inspiration alone can be very hard to come by. I have to say the reason my GLM chapters get put out is 90% because my readers inspire me to keep going, and when I'm in that “inspired” state...the ideas just seem to start flowing? It's so very hard-- for me at least-- to write without some sort of inspiration, either from my readers, or from the content it's self. That kind of leads me to the more conventional answer to this question: usually my ideas are inspired from the content I'm writing for. I love writing missing scenes or alternate scenes from canon-- especially in giving them a shippy angle/twist :) I love re-imagining whole storylines, or endings. I am a fix-it-fic kind of girl. Like make it as bad you want: I will make it better. With content I love, I always feel like the characters are living their lives behind the scenes...like there's always so much else to explore? Like canon is just a spring board-- and I'm ready to dive in deeper! That's why the style of GLM is like it is: it's a new “episode” to enjoy, a new case! I actually have many plot bunnies kicking around that are similar to GLM, more Ghost Hunt case fics-- I just love playing with “what if”...what if things had continued-- what would that look like for SPR? And of course, you can count on *my* what ifs always including shippy prospects :D Finally, inspiration for certain scenes, tropes, quotes, storylines, characters, ect... often those come from my consumption of all the swoony media I can get my hands on. Kdramas. Rom-com movies. Jane Austen. I'm a hopeless romantic.
any fics planned?
The short answer: yes! :D As I hinted above, I do have some plot bunnies that have been “haunting” (hahaha) me. They're Ghost Hunt plot bunnies, mostly case-fic that would be multi-chapter projects. But some shippy one-shots have also been winking at me, teasing me to write them (Mairu, Bou-san x Ayako, John x Masako *gasps*, Lin x Madoka). I have a document that I use to collect all my ideas, so that I can go back to them. For now, I'm trying to stay loyal to GLM. I write so slow, I'm afraid if I took some of that time to churn out one-shots...I may never get a new chapter out XD But anywho, yes I definitely have other fics planned. I hope once GLM is finished, you might continue with me on new writing adventures with our SPR team <3
fave line in a fic you wrote?
I'm blushing. I don't think I could pick a line? But I do have favorite scenes! Mainly Mairu ones, but some of those Mai and Bou-san ones...oh my gosh, I even crack myself up XD I'll round up some of my top faves for you:
Mai and Naru at the end of chapter 23. All that Mairu goodness after the “blood rain”, standing at the sink together...face-to-face arguing out of worry...oh,yeah. [chef's kiss]
Mai and Bou-san in chapter 11 & 12. Chicken and apples, need I say more? looool
Mai and Naru at the end of chapter 19 after Wise Obasan has locked them in Miss Miyuki's cellar...and Naru carries Mai out of the house (in front of the whole world!!), all the way to the Inn, and tops it off with admitting he gave Mai his moon lily. Dang. [fans self]
Naru's return in chapter 27. After such a long wait, he shows up at the end of chapter all disheveled and hot and like steals Mai's tea (indirect kiss!!) and then he and Mai have it out in the hall (just kiss already) and finally it looks like he's going to kiss her but oops he's actually fainting...
Ayako & Bou-san taking care of Mai while she was sick in chapter 20, oh gosh it always warms my heart I just love their family dynamic <333
Okay: throwing in a John!Masako moment here, but it really is one of my favorites. It's subtle, because of course, but also in chapter 23, the moment where John so gallantly throws himself over Masako during the “blood rain”, protecting her. Awwww!
More recently, the scene at the end of chapter 30 where Naru walks in on Mai's “séance” with Madame Miyuki. The intensity!! The english!! Oh maaan.
And finally, naturally-- the scene in chapter 31 where Naru nearly makes Mai flip out when he offers to “take it off” but haha it's just the tag on her dress, but then it's sad hours and Mai is crying, but don't worry because Naru wipes them away?! Ahhh the tenderness!!
Goodness wow I went overboard, but really just thank you for this ask! Your love and support means so much to me!! Really!!

Hello!!! I love your blog!!! ∩^ω^∩ If you’re not too busy, could I request a scenario with Dazai and his girlfriend who’s tied up in Shibari style? With some orgasim denial and dirty talking thrown into the mix too?
Genre: NSFW (a bucket full of it, brace yourselves)
Tags: Bondage, Shibari, Orgasm denial, Dirty talking
A/N: Heeey, anon~Thank you so much for your support!  ゚(TヮT)゚。 Here’s your long overdue request so another thank you for waiting patiently! I made a little bit of shibari research for this and I wrote this with the “Hanging letter M, open leg binding” kinbaku pattern in mind. I’m not sure if I wrote everything accurately tho since I only saw it on wikipedia hehe I also am not sure if I went overboard with this but I hope you enjoy this~

The rope creaked with every minuscule shift you make, just as its coarse grip on your plump flesh sunk deeper. You muttered a quiet whine as the pain dances on the surface of your skin  in time with the pleasure pooling at your core as Dazai’s fingers took advantage of your vulnerable position; your legs are opened wide in an M-shape, with ropes that’s wrapped all around you and hoisting up your whole body, there’s no chance  of escaping from anything he pleases to do. Your body spasms in every which way, head slumped and sweat dripping from every inch of your body. The squelching sounds from Dazai’s operation made you shiver and your lame limbs shook feebly. Being in a relationship with Dazai since his Port Mafia days, you admit that a little bit of excitement was needed to keep the fire alive. However, when he suggested this, you fell short on your estimation with his offer of ‘a little bit of bondage’. He sure acquired a lot of tricks from being a former warden of the night.
“Too bad I didn’t bring any toys.” He mumbled. “I will try to remember it next time. For now, we’ll just have to make do with what I have on my person.”
The threat of a next time made your mind swirl for a minute. Your boyfriend’s unpredictable personality made it hard for you to guess if he was being serious or just bluffing. Either way, the thought of being defiled again but with foreign objects this time, made you cry out loud. In response, Dazai crooked his fingers upwards, making tight come-hither motions with it as he watched you struggle within your confines.
“Dazai,” your voice low as a whisper. “Dazai!” You called again, louder this time as a bolt of pleasure shocked your body and shoot your voice up.
“Oh, what’s that?” He replied in a mocking tone. “Are you about to come?”
You gave an affirmative answer and nodded fervently as if to solidify your point. “Nope,” he drawled out in a singsong voice, removing his fingers out of your aching walls abruptly. “We can’t have that just yet.”
You wanted to curse him to the grave as your sex pulsated heavily as your orgasm slowly died down inside you, but a string of quivering moans is all that your salivating mouth can muster. The ridges of the ropes once again burned on your skin with every stutter of your aroused body. Dazai moved back and admired your image in front of him like he’s musing from an intricate work of art; which he can argue that you are after the procedure he did to put you into this position. From this angle, he can see how your body was glistening from the beads of sweat dribbling down on your flushed skin, the tight rope squeezing on your ample muscles and your sex shining from the fluids his fingers just recently juiced out of you; scoffing when his equally excited cock twitched inside his tented pants.
“You look so beautiful, babe,” he commented whilst ambling towards you. “The ropes really complement your figure. You make me so hard.” He then grind his clothed hips against your entrance as proof of his statement before ravishing your lips with a hungry kiss.
The kiss you returned was sloppy and weak compared to his powerful one; mirroring your respective states right now. Dazai’s hands occupied themselves in massaging your supple breasts as rows of ropes perked them up, the jolting pain that the said binding incite zaps you up while your sensitive nipples grazed on Dazai’s dress shirt. Your forehead crinkled as the juxtaposition of these sensations blends in your veins in a blissful dance. And just to think that if you were asked yesterday, you wouldn’t be able to say that you would enjoy this as much as you do at this very moment.
“It feels so good,” you moaned absentmindedly. Dazai chuckled in amusement.
“Looks like it,” he replied. “Do you want more? Do you want to know what it feels like to be fucked hard while you’re all nicely tied up like this?”
Dazai ran his fingers on your bounded wrists, moving swiftly to wrap it around your neck. You whispered a positive response as air was choked out of your throat with his palm. Dazai’s menacing look was accompanied by a smirk that made your heart raced in anticipation.
“You know, it’s been a while since I’ve tied up anyone, especially like this. I would’ve loved to play with you more, darling, but you see-” his hips once again bucked up on your arousal- “my friend here just don’t have the patience.”
With the sleight of his hand, what once was Dazai’s pants and underwear became a crumpled mess on the floor and his aforementioned excitement undeniable from the way the tip of his stiff cock seem to glisten from his own fluids. He proceeded to unbutton his shirt, shrugging it off of his body before skillfully wrapping it around your mouth and securing it with a knot behind your head. Your saliva immediately started pooling at the corner of your lips and soaking the material as it muffles your protests.
“Yes, that’s it. Struggle as hard as you can, babe.” Dazai growled leaning in to your ear as he started to rub the head of his penis on your wet entrance. “That just excites me even more.”
A scream escaped your makeshift gag as Dazai plunged all of himself deep in your walls with brute force. You felt his length poking at your cervix and you whimper as his hips continue to push against your limit.
“Just look how this position lets me push my cock so deep into you.” Dazai chuckled. “I don’t think I’ve ever get to hit you this deep before. I guess tonight is really one to remember, huh? We’re making so many new memories already.”
Your fingers dug on your palms, trying to recover from the sweet sting on your walls from Dazai’s harsh intrusion when he pulled out of you slightly and in a split second, slammed back into you. Only this time, he didn’t stopped but immediately began an unforgiving pace as soon as he’s in you- deep, rough and forceful- making your eyes tear up and your saliva soaked his shirt as you are left with nothing else to do than to cry and scream from his breathtaking thrusts.
“Don’t think I’ll be going easy on you now,” Dazai tutted, his voice hitching every time his hips impacts on your pelvis. “You’re my helplessly bounded innocent victim and I plan to use all of you for my pleasure tonight.”
He saw your muscles tensed up against your restrains and your moans started to get louder; you’re close and you didn’t want to let him know. Dazai scoffed, he gave a few fast thrusts and he then harshly pulled all the way out of you. You hanged your head and whimper as another orgasm was ripped away from you just when you’re almost at the top. With your whole body awake and highly-sensitized, your muscles contracted uncontrollably; your pussy throbbed painfully and your juices started to drip out of you. Dazai whistled.
“Wow, you’re really enjoying this, aren’t you?” He said, tilting your chin up towards him. He smirked at the sight of you, completely ruined; saliva seeped out of his shirt onto your chin, eyes lidded and tearful, and your face blushing and drenched in sweat. “Just the way I like it.” Dazai whispered to himself with a quick lick on his lips.
His gaze full of lustful intentions never left your pleading ones, not even when his cock slowly pushed into you again and his hips bucking forward, making sure that you can feel every inch of him inside. He adjusted his hand to hold you underneath your jaw.
“I want to see every cute expression you’ll make as I fuck you,” Dazai groaned out, his new pace was slow; infuriatingly slow. “Let me see how just how much you love when my cock pushed in to the end of your pussy and you feel like you’re going to break in half.”
The obscenity of his words made you clenched on him. Dazai chuckled delightedly as he resume in a snail’s pace. He watched as your face contorted in frustration and your hips bucking against him despite the ropes that are holding you back.
“You’re so impatient, babe. Don’t worry; it’s a part of my plan to fuck you senseless.” And with that, he placed his free hand at the small of your back and began to pound you in a much faster pace. With each deep thrust, Dazai would squeeze his hips up, angling himself upwards and making his cock hit that sweet spot that just shoots you up to heaven. You bit down on your gag and your eyes shut tightly; your mind started to once again drown from the overwhelming pleasure as Dazai woke up every single one of your neurons. You barely had the thought to care on just how lewd you must look like now with the intensity of your bliss reflected on your face. You let streams of your saliva dribble down your chin and your eyes lull to the back of your head while you set yourself free from shame or any form of inhibition to let Dazai’s pleasurable assault drive you to your demise. Feeling a bit thankful that there are ropes holding you up, you surrender the whole weight of your limp body to its twisted cords.
“I can feel how hard your pussy is throbbing right now,” Dazai grumbled with gritted teeth. “It feels so good, doesn’t it? The pain from being tied up and the pleasure from my cock, it’s just too much, isn’t it?”
A loud moan was his answer as another charge of his hips pressed against your cervix. Your walls convulsed erratically and in an instant, you were shot up to your peak. Your walls clenched around Dazai’s cock in response and you cried out louder. Dazai inhaled sharply as you just got swollenness hugged his length.
“Oh my, you grip like a viper,” he hissed. “Your pussy’s just sucking me in. So greedy and dirty.”
You wanted to call out his name and hold on to him but all you can do was writhe on your constraints, making more of your sobbing moans as you feel your climax building up. Your heart raced faster and your breathing became uneven. You feel it coming; the tension was getting too much, your abdomen felt tight and tingly, and waves upon waves of electrifying pleasure coursed up to every corner of your being. A warm sensation spread throughout your body, your cries was getting louder as you get higher and higher to your peak. Dazai’s gave another forceful push and then, you crashed down. Your let your screams ringed across the entire room, as you felt your release flow out of you but Dazai didn’t stopped. He grunted when you just became even tighter for his size and continues to ram into you, hitting the same spot that brought you over to the edge. You screeched as your orgasm doubled up; you wanted to retaliate against the over-stimulation that you’re feeling only to remember your current predicament by the sting on your muscles.
He watched the panicked expressions on your face as he shows you no mercy. Soon, your world melted into a puddle. Your second orgasm hits you like a sudden devastating earthquake. Your cries turned into guttural moans and something else flowing out of your core; something warmer and watery than your discharge. The squelching sounds coming from below you became louder as your squirt mixed in with both yours and Dazai’s fluids. Dazai’s hips bucked sloppily and his quiet moans became full groans when he felt himself on the edge of his own peak.
“Ah-” he gasped. “This pussy is just too good. Even if I’d like to see you come a few more times before I finish, I can’t really control myself very well tonight. You’re just too damn hot.”
Both of his hands are now gripping tightly at your ass while Dazai chased his own release. His thrusts became faster and sloppier, his head hanged, sweat dripped from his head, and his eyes were shut closed. He groaned out your name before biting down on your shoulder as his hips stuttered and his cum spurted on your sore walls. Goosebumps raised on your skin from his hot labored breathing against you. He stayed still for a moment, his teeth was still sunk on your tender flesh like the ropes around you and his cock twitching on the deepest part of your core. Feeling relieved for the break you’re getting from such a tiresome affair, you settle your own breathing as Dazai composed himself. He pulled out a few seconds later and stepped back a little to admire his finished work as mixture of fluids dripped down from your pussy and staining a spot on the floor beneath you, the indents of his bite glowing red on your shoulder, a section of his button-up dress shirt drenched and the soreness of your muscles where the ropes are tightly groping you. Dazai smirked triumphantly at his work and the sense of contentment made his cock twitch once again.
“One more.”

If There’s a Place I Could Be - Chapter Seventy One
If There’s a Place I Could Be Tag
January 10th, 1997
Remy was looking at the test his latest table-mate had given him and he frowned. “What’s so bad about it?” he asked.
“It’s a ninety seven!” she exclaimed.
“Yeah, so? I barely got a seventy two,” Remy said with a shrug. “It’s okay to not get everything perfect, or even close to perfect. All that matters is that you pass.”
“Figures you’d see it that way,” she scoffed. “You don’t care about grades at all. Do you even know where you’re going to college?”
“Don’t know, don’t care, Cindy,” Remy said. “I’m fifteen. I don’t have to care yet.”
She scoffed again and stormed off as the bell rang and Remy rolled his eyes. Another potential friendship avoided. Good. He had been worried he wouldn’t be able to shake this one. And perfectionists rubbed him a very particular wrong way that was not pleasant.
  September 5th, 2002
Remy was working in the kitchen when Emile came up from behind him for a hug. “Hey, love,” Emile said.
“Mm, hi, mio amore,” Remy said. “Decided you’re finally ready for lunch?”
“Yeah. I was just doing some drawing earlier to fulfill the art class requirement I’ve been putting off, but the drawings are done for now. I just want to eat,” Emile said with a laugh.
“What were you drawing?” Remy asked.
“You,” Emile said. “Like, it wasn’t realistic figure drawings because I wasn’t looking at you, but I was working in different cartoon styles, and I figured I may as well draw one of the people I know best.”
Remy turned a slight red even as he continued to work. “Do I get to see these drawings eventually?”
“Yeah, if you want,” Emile said. “So long as you don’t tell me that my imitations of my favorite cartoon styles suck.”
“I would never say that,” Remy said. “You’re a pretty good drawer, actually. Maybe not make-a-living-off-it good, but definitely a your-art-shows-lots-of-care good.”
“Really?” Emile asked, and he looked surprised.
Remy paused in his work and faced Emile fully. “Yeah, Emile. You’re really good at art.” Emile frowned, and Remy mirrored the action. “Is there any reason that you wouldn’t think that?” Had he just found one of Emile’s insecurities?
“I mean, I guess not, it’s just...” Emile shrugged. “There’s a lot of things wrong with it. It’s like when I get a question wrong on a test. I know it’s wrong, but I can’t fix it.”
Remy squinted and walked past Emile, to the card table, where his sketchbook was still open. “Emile, your drawings look fine.”
“Fine, sure. But they’re not exactly good,” Emile said, walking over and pointing. “See, the eyes are slightly off compared to the She-Ra style, and in the Looney Tunes style I can’t get the hands and the fingers properly. And these are just the sketches I’m okay with other people seeing.”
Remy stared at Emile, then at the drawings, then Emile. “Emile, I’m not a cartoon expert like you are, but I know enough about art style differences from comics to understand this was just done by a different artist. It’s not wrong, it’s just a slight difference, like what can happen when more than one animator works on a project. The difference is that in animation, the frames go by so fast that it’s usually imperceptible.”
“No, it’s not the same style if it doesn’t look exactly the same. Otherwise it’s just an imitation,” Emile said.
“Okay...correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought you were just going for an imitation,” Remy said.
“I mean, yeah, but I realized how close I was and wanted it to be in the genuine style...and I couldn’t get it,” Emile mumbled the last part, turning away.
“What do you mean, honey? You definitely got it right,” Remy said.
“But I didn’t,” Emile argued.
Remy blinked. “Okay, maybe it’s not perfect, but—”
“—See?! You just said yourself that I didn’t get it!” Emile exclaimed.
Remy paused. Took a breath. Let it out slowly. “That’s not what I said,” he said calmly. Forcing away the irritation at being interrupted and the annoyance that Emile was apparently not listening to him. “I said you didn’t have it perfect. Not having it perfect doesn’t mean you don’t have it.”
“Yes it does!” Emile exclaimed with a huff.
The irritation faded away and was replaced with a blooming bud of concern. “No, it doesn’t, Emile...why would you think that?”
Emile laughed incredulously. “Do you really not know?”
“No,” Remy said. “I really don’t.”
“When I was in kindergarten the first time around, I was ‘the stupid one.’ I know you’ve heard this before, but listen. When it clicked and I finally knew how to read, I went to the top of my class in just about everything. Suddenly, school was impossibly easy. And everything I did was just considered perfect, perfect, perfect. That’s all it could be, that’s all it can be. I’m not allowed to fail. Because if I fail, then I’m just that stupid five-year-old who couldn’t even spell his own name. And suddenly everyone starts questioning me, saying they thought I was smart, I was supposed to understand this, and isn’t it easy? Why am I struggling?! I just need to push through until I understand, but I’m not even allowed to ask for help, because oh, that’s just for the stupid kids, Emile, and you’re not stupid! If something isn’t perfect, then it’s a problem. And I’m not supposed to have any more problems. Not after that.”
Remy didn’t know what to say. “Christ, Emile,” he breathed. “That’s terrible.”
Emile laughed and shook his head. “Not particularly,” he said, even as he was starting to cry. “Just the burden of being the smart kid, I guess. You have to keep up the appearance even if you have no idea what you’re doing. Because otherwise all the teachers see is that dumb kid who couldn’t tell the difference between an ‘o’ and a ‘v.’”
“I thought only your teen years were traumatic, but Christ. That’s just...I don’t have any words. I was never really ‘the smart kid,’ I never had to deal with that, but...wow, so many things make sense now,” Remy said. He shook his head. “Not the point, not the point. Okay. Emile, I’m going to tell you something, and I want you to listen to me when I say it, okay?”
Emile took off his glasses, wiping away his tears, and he nodded. “I’m listening.”
Remy grabbed Emile’s cheeks and brought their foreheads together. “You have my explicit permission to fail.”
“You...what?” Emile asked.
“You have my permission to fail. Okay? If you don’t get everything perfect, you’re not stupid in my eyes. If your graduating GPA is three point nine, I won’t focus on the one class you got a ‘B’ in. I’ll focus on the fact that all your other classes you aced with all ‘A’s! That’s freaking amazing! I would never be able to do that! If you get one thing wrong, if you ‘fail’ in your eyes, that’s okay. No one can be perfect all the time. It’s okay to need help. It’s not just for people who are struggling. This operates on the same principles as therapy. Therapy is not just for people who are drowning in their own emotions, it’s also to teach those people how to swim, or to find a boat. The same is true if you have to ask a professor a question, or enlist the skills of a tutor. You’re not stupid for doing those things, you’re learning more so you don’t make the same mistakes in the future.” Remy kissed Emile. “You’re not stupid, Emile, and you never have been stupid. ‘Stupid’ as a concept is just...well, it’s stupid. It makes no sense. And getting one or two questions wrong on a test doesn’t mean you’re stupid. It means you got all the other questions right, and you get to learn from those mistakes.”
Emile blinked. “What if I get all the questions wrong?” he asked, voice small.
“You’re still not stupid. You just need to stress less and maybe study harder next time. But I doubt that would happen, okay? You’re Emile freaking Thomas, and you can do anything you set your mind to. Don’t sell yourself short,” Remy said, giving Emile a crooked grin at the end.
Emile slowly removed Remy’s hands from his face and stared at the floor. “Honey, I appreciate the sentiment, but...I can’t just stop this. I’ve been doing it for fifteen years.”
“I know you can’t just stop it at will, honey, that’s not what I’m asking of you,” Remy said. “I’m asking you to go a little easier on yourself. You don’t have to be perfect. If you get everything right, more power to you, but beat yourself up a little less if you make a mistake. If you do nothing else, at least remind yourself that you have my permission to fail? That no one will hate you or think that you’re stupid if you mess up?”
“I...” Emile trailed off, actually considering Remy’s words, which Remy counted as a win. “Yeah, okay.”
“Yeah?” Remy asked.
“Yeah, I’ll try,” Emile said, not looking Remy in the eye, but his tone sounded hopeful. “It would be nice to not feel like everything has to be perfect, I think.”
“You’ll either find it incredibly liberating or incredibly terrifying, I think. Possibly both,” Remy said drily.
Emile snorted. “I’m willing to bet you’re right,” he said with a nod. “I’ve never really considered what it would be like to be allowed to fail. Even when we moved out of the college dorms, I didn’t think about the possibility of failing and not managing our money correctly, because failure just wasn’t an option. And I guess it saved us issues with rent and food and the like, but I’m willing to bet it did a number on my mental health too. Just a hunch.”
Remy laughed. “Honey, you’ve worked yourself sick before because you’re so focused on helping friends and going to work and keeping that perfect GPA. I know for a fact that it’s done a number on you not only mentally, but physically.”
“Okay, I see your point,” Emile said with a slightly sheepish smile. “That was me going a little overboard.”
“More than a little,” Remy said with a snort. “That in and of itself was a bit of a failure. Failure to take care of yourself.”
Emile went oddly quiet, before he softly went, “Oh.”
“Oh?” Remy asked.
“I have failed in the past, then,” Emile said. “And you didn’t change how you treated me. I mean, you might have called me stupid for pushing myself too far and getting myself sick, but you didn’t...treat me like I didn’t know what I was doing.”
“That’s because you do know what you’re doing,” Remy said. “Making one or two mistakes, or outright failing doesn’t mean you don’t know anything. It means you might need things explained to you in a different way, or just explained period, but you know way more than most people, Emile. I would argue you’re smarter than most twenty one year olds I’ve met. At least, academically. Street smarts are another story.”
“Look, that was one time I got lost on the way home from McDonald’s!” Emile defended. “That doesn’t mean I don’t have street smarts!”
Remy burst out laughing. “No, that means that you have no sense of direction, and no street smarts.”
“This coming from the guy who purposefully picked a fight with a guy who was buddies with linebackers from the football team,” Emile snorted. “That’s not exactly prime ‘street smarts’ either, mister.”
“Okay, okay, so we’re both dumbasses coming to street smarts! I still know more than you on that front!” Remy exclaimed.
“Oh, you wish!” Emile declared, “I’d bet actual money that I have more street smarts than you.”
“A fool and his money are soon parted,” Remy said with a wicked grin. “But fine. If you’re so certain, let’s get an impartial party to determine this. Next time we see Bernie, we’ll ask him. But be prepared to lose whatever money you’re betting!”
“We have joint bank accounts in all but name anyway,” Emile said with a shrug. “We regularly buy stuff for each other. What difference does it make if that money is in my account or yours?”
“You have a point,” Remy hummed. “Okay. How about we bet food? If you win, we get the stuff to bake cupcakes. If I win, we get the stuff for brownies. And the loser has to help bake the sweets that we’ll be eating for the next two weeks or so.”
“Oh, you are so on!” Emile exclaimed.
Remy grinned. Emile was hopefully going to go a little easier on himself, and Remy was going to get to eat brownies next week! This was great!

Chapters: 2/2 Fandom: The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, The Legend of Zelda & Related Fandoms Rating: Teen And Up Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Characters: Linebeck (Legend of Zelda) Additional Tags: Ciela Link Tetra and Oshus are all here and Jolene is referred to, But I didn't think it was enough to tag them as characters, Mainly I started this because in the game I didn't remember Linebeck actually apologizing to Jolene, And then it turned into a little bit of Linebeck introspection whoops., Letter is in the second chapter, Teen rating is because there are a few swears sprinkled in
Summary: Linebeck kept most of his life on his boat, but there was one loose end he never fully tied up in the Realm of the Ocean King.
It's been a minute since I've played the game but from what I could easily dig up, I don't think Linebeck actually apologizes to Jolene, and a part of me kinda felt like she should have some kind of closure. If I'm wrong and he actually does, then just enjoy this as an AU version of an apology.
As the fog closed in around them, Linebeck couldn’t help but call out, “Kid? Sparkles? Old Man?” The kids hadn’t been that far away from him, and Ciela and Oshus had originally been right in front. But the fog was so dense that he couldn’t even see beyond his outstretched hands.
The rotting planks he was standing on seemed to change into the familiar floorboards of his ship when he wasn’t paying attention, and the familiar sway of standing on his steamboat nearly floored him.
As he stumbled against the rail, Oshus’s voice echoed around him. “Unlike the children, you’ve been here for several years. Did you want to stay here? You’ve established a life here, and it would be remiss of me to not extend the offer.”
Linebeck looked in several different directions before asking dumbly, “What?”
“You wandered into my realm years ago, and you seemed content to stay.”
“I didn’t even know when that happened. I just thought I found somewhere off the maps I had.”
“And you never sought to leave.”
The piercing implied question irritated him, and spilling his life story now wasn’t going to happen. “… It’s complicated.”
“Well, is it less complicated now?”
That made Linebeck bite back the sarcastic quip that had been building, and he reached up to rub the back of his head. “Home is wherever my boat is,” He said while fondly patting the railing. “Heading to different waters won’t change that.”
“But you will never have the same stomping grounds if you leave. I just want to make sure you are completely okay with that.”
“… Thanks, I guess. But…” He thought of a child who seemed to forget that that’s what he still was. “Kinda want to keep an eye on the kid, you know?”
A yellow ball of light appeared in his peripheral. “Wow, admitting to having a heart for once?”
“Oh can it, Sparkles,” he immediately spat out. “You know how he is.”
“Yeah, I do.” The fact that she lost her bite so quickly sobered him up. Right, this was gonna be the last time they saw each other. “He… Still hasn’t told you everything. He might not ever. But I’m kinda glad I didn’t need to argue with you to leave with him.”
“Can’t tell me why that is?”
“If you’re gonna find out, it’s better if you find out from him,” She said airily. Her wings appeared to shake a few times before she settled in front of him, “Since this got sprung on you suddenly, I’m here to make sure you don’t have any loose ends you want to tie up. Sort of as a last favor, and a thank you.”
“Uhhh. I really would have appreciated to find out about this sooner so that I could figure that out.”
“Hey, I didn’t know this rift was going to open up right now either, so don’t give me that. Just give me some money to close up your bar tab or something.”
Before he could retort, Oshus’s voice cut through the familiar banter. “Linebeck, your time is limited.”
Right. He quickly tried to think of anything that he was leaving behind. Despite Ciela’s jab, he had pointedly kept his bar tabs paid, and he didn’t have any other outstanding debts.
Wait.
He took off running towards the cabin on the ship. “Oh shit, I never sent that letter to Jolene!”
As if she wasn’t expending any effort to keep up with him, she floated by his head and scolded, “Really, Linebeck? I thought you took care of that.”
“I thought I had more time, Sparkles. I was trying to make sure I didn’t piss her off any more than she already was. Hell, I thought I might try and say it to her face.”
That clearly dumbfounded her. “Just when I thought you couldn’t get any braver, you go and admit you were thinking of actually talking to her instead of hiding.”
“Well, I clearly wasn’t brave enough considering I still only have a half written letter, and now I need to finish it. Now keep it down while I finish this, okay?” He waved the fairy away and settled at the charting desk.
After a few minutes of furious writing, he folded the paper up, and even added a postage stamp. “Just in case, don’t want to leave a debt after all.”
She floated by his hand and grabbed the letter. “I’ll make sure this gets to her. Promise.”
“Thanks-”
“I have to send you now, so hold on...” Oshus’s voice ended the conversation. Linebeck barely got his hand back up to wave goodbye to the fairy before the fog became so thick, he couldn’t even see the interior of his boat.
He wasn’t sure when it happened, but he was lying on his back in the middle of the cabin room when his eyes opened. Sitting up was an effort, like he had been laid out for hours, and his back made an unpleasant cracking sound. “Why was I on the floor...” He asked aloud to no one in particular. His brain was as foggy as if he had just woken up from a long nap. “Did I drink that much?”
He made an effort to stand while he tried to piece together what lead up to him passing out on the floor, and at first his mind drew a blank.
Strangely, there wasn’t any indication he drank the night prior. When he saw the still open chart on the floor, the last few hours came rushing back.
He frantically looked around for Link and his friend. “Kid?!” From what he could see, there wasn’t any sign of either of the teenagers that he had traveled with. He ran out onto the deck, and, when he didn’t see them there, he couldn’t help but look overboard.
After a few minutes, he finally looked towards the horizon, and, in the distance, he could see the fully intact ghost ship. The lack of fog confused him, but it didn’t stop his heart from stopping at the sight.
Another ship pulled up beside it, and at that point, Linebeck had to run back and pull out a telescope to get a better look.
His boat was facing the wrong way for him to get there in time, and he thought maybe if he knew what the unfortunate souls looked like, then maybe… He wasn’t even sure how to finish that thought.
To his great surprised, the kid and his friend hopped over from the ghost ship to the other ship, and started talking with the people on there. To say that he was relieved would be an understatement, but the distraction of the other people on board steered his thoughts away from that.
… Link had mentioned that Tetra was the captain of a ship, now that he thought about it. Given how the sailors appeared to be deferring to her, it seemed increasingly likely that they had somehow found their old ship. Despite that, there was an animated discussion going on, and he couldn’t even begin to imagine how that was going.
Man, he really had to give Oshus credit for not dumping them in the middle of nowhere.
A small part of him, however, was uneasy. Surely the kid wouldn’t need him anymore now that he was back with Tetra and all of his crewmates? The thought of slipping away while they weren’t looking crossed his mind.
He couldn’t deny the thought tempted him. He had been a loner barring some notable exceptions, and the thought of being pulled into a proper crew daunted him.
That and there was no way he would ever live up to his earlier moment of courage again. Link by now knew what a coward he was, but that moment of courage would be expected of him again, wouldn’t it? He didn’t want to be a dis-
Wait. He wrote an entire damn letter explaining why he ran from Jolene, and it was happening again.
If he ran away again, he wouldn’t have learned anything. And the kid seemed to like him, for whatever reason. And the way Ciela had talked about planning on arguing with him to go with Link had concerned him…
Well… It wasn’t like the kid was going to expect him to be a dungeon delver, right? He already knew that would be a disaster.
Maybe he should stick around.
Deciding to announce his presence, he went back into the cabin and blew the horn. When he looked out the window, he could see the kid practically leaning on the railing and waving.
Smiling, he waved back even though he wasn’t sure if they could see him, and steered the ship to the other boat.
He didn’t notice when the ghost ship simply disappeared, but when he managed to turn his boat around, the fact that the ominous ship was gone startled him. He figured it had to be Oshus’s doing, but he really wished the old man-whale-spirit thing had chosen a less foreboding way to handle the matter.
Either way, his thoughts turned back to the kid waiting for him, and he decided that he’d forgive Oshus this time.
He had a new life in new waters to figure out.

"Hey."
I turned around in my seat and smiled. "Hi, Luka."
"So... how'd you wanna do this?"
I cocked an eyebrow. "Do what?" Luka shared an amused smile. "Oh!" I face-palm. "The project! Right." I picked up the notebook with my notes from my desk and slammed it on his desk. Then I rotated it in his direction. "This is how we're going to do it."
"Wow, you've really thought this through already."
I rest my face on my hand and smirk. "It's no coincidence that I ace my presentations."
"I guess I'm lucky then."
"More than you think." I straighten my back. "Okay, no funny business tho. You fuck up and I'll make you suffer all the way to June. Take a picture of them notes so you have a copy and have a slight idea of what's going on."
He puts up a half-amused smile, "this ain't my first rodeo."
"But it's your first bullfight, so keep up." He laughed and I bit my lip. I might've gone overboard.
"I'll do my best," he assured in a soft voice. Holy shit. He's so mellow. As soon as I was sure he had a picture of my notes, I took his phone. I entered into his contacts and added my number then dialed myself.
I show him the screen of my phone. "Now we have each other's numbers." He smiled before I turned around just in time for the teacher to get in.

"i'll snap my fingers into Thanos' ass if i have to"
"right 😂"
At dinner, I couldn't stop thinking about Luka. We might've never talked much to each other but I always had the hots for him. He was just my type: tall, supposedly long hair for a boy, dyed hair, punk-like feel and especially (these just get me going) those black gauges in his ears. Anyways, I'd lie if I said I never got distracted in class because of the smell of his cologne.
"Thank you for dinner, [Y/N]," said my mom after she cleaned the table.
"Don't forget to do the dishes, love."
"Yes, Dad," I chuckled.
"We're off to bed, then. Goodnight, [Y/N]."
"Goodnight, mum. Goodnight, dad."
That night, I fell asleep thinking about how nice that chat conversation with Luka was.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
I groaned loudly when I got into class. I ran because I was late for geography. When I got to class, the lack of a teacher at the desk made me want to kill myself. My classmates were scattered around the classroom in groups, as usual when a teacher was absent. Done with life, I walk to my desk, drop my backpack and accommodate my face on the desk. Suddenly, somebody is standing next to me. But I really just wanted some sleep so my first intention was to ignore whomever until well, it's self-explanatory.
"Looks like someone spent all night thinking about me."
"What!?" I see Luka. Now fully energized and heart pumping, I stutter: "No, no. What are you even saying?"
He laughs and takes a seat on the vacant spot in front of me. He rests his arms on my desk. "I'm just messing with you, wanted to see the reaction I'd get out of you. I wasn't expecting to fully wake you up." He smiles broadly and I stare into his eyes.
Have you ever met that person, no matter who they are, their eyes are so enthralling that you just can't help but keep staring at them? These kinds of eyes just have something... Something I'm unable to describe. And when I stare at them, they're so glossy and shiny.
"I think you'd look amazing if you wore eyeliner."
"Huh?" Half of his face moves upwards in sync. "That's very random."
"I mean, yeah." I look away, fidget with my bracelet and then look back. "I just thought it'd bring your eyes out even more."
"Ooh," he exhales knowingly. "Because they're blue, right?"
I knit my eyebrows together. "No," I say offended. Had this boy never realized how nice his eyes are?
"Why then?" He asks and nods his head onto his arms.
"Well," I lick my lips, "I don't know." I shrug "It's not because of the color, which is beautiful just so you know." I caress my arm and try very hard to maintain eye contact, occasionally looking away. "Your eyes, I don't know, they just have something."
He smiles at my words, "look who's talking."
"Not a clown, that's for sure." He groans in a boyish way and it melts my insides so warm I almost let it show.
"You won't let it go, won’t you?" He lays defeated on my desk, arms sprawled.
"You did that to yourself." He hummed in a way that seemed a mixture of displeasure and annoyance. His long hair was sprawled in every direction of my desk. I could tell that he washed his hair either last night or this morning —it smelled so nice. Luka smelled really nice and I couldn't help but bite my lip to restrain myself from sniffing him all over like I was some kind of dog-bred. I started playing with his hair and it was so much softer than I expected it to be, it was dyed after all. He let a pleasurable groan slip through.
"Does this bother you?"
Luka abruptly opened his eyes and forced my head to rest on the desk as well. With very soft caresses he ran his hand through my locks and I understood what it was that he intended.
"What about you?"
I stared into his eyes for a moment and closed them, then resumed playing with his hair as he did the same. We were so close, I could hear his silent breathes. I wondered if this could be considered as cuddling. Honestly? I didn't care because I was enjoying it.
"Hey, guys, look at [Y/N] and Luka."
"Woah, when did that happen."
"Never thought [Y/N] liked that type of guy."
"You're kidding, right? Luka's definitely her type."
We spent the rest of the hour like that. Somewhere in between, the rest of the class noticed us but, frankly, we paid them no mind. But it made me anxious. Not because of what they said but about what Luka might've thought about it.
"I kind of like this," he whimpers softly as if scared he'd break whatever we had going on.
I agree with him softly, just as scared to ruin the mood.
When the bell rang, we hesitantly broke apart. Luka returned to his assigned seat behind me and then class started. The moments the teacher repeated subjects the class already went through, Luka played with the ends of my hair.
After the school bell rang for the last time that day, Luka approached me. He asked if I wanted to start on the project today. Luka was so cute while he asked. He didn't do anything particularly cute but the way he looked when he leaned on the wall had sent me flying. Obviously, I said that it was a good idea. Not desperately, of course, even though I wanted to grab him and steal him away. I kept my cool.
"What time?"
He grimaced to hide a grin. "I was hoping, like, right now?"
"Uh, well... On any other particular month, I'd agree and take you to my house. But we're getting reformations done so it's a very big mess."
"We can go to my place." He states like it's a universal fact.
"But all my shit's at home, and I'd want to empty my backpack, grab some money, etcetera."
"Okay, I get it. I can take you home and we'll head right over to mine?"
Even though I might pass out any moment out of pure embarrassment, I cross my arms in an 'X' in front of his face.
"No way that's happening, clown boy."
"What? Why?" He frowns.
"No way in hell I'm letting you drive me on your motorbike."
A small laugh escapes his lips. "You've never been on a motorcycle?"
I act displeased.
Luka laughs with a hand on his stomach. "You haven't!" I scowl and his laughter subdues. He waves his hands in front of him and apologizes for laughing. "I'll be careful, just for you." He assures.
"Even if I agreed... I doubt you'd have a second helmet. And we all know that police officer which has an obsession for the law."
"I got us covered on that one, I have two."
I stare at him. "You had this all planned out, didn't you?"
"No," he grins, "it just happens to be that I usually pick my sister up from her school."
"Oh, so she's gonna have to walk all the way back to your house. We can't let her do that, can we?" No matter how much I crush on Luka, anything that can get me out of sitting on that devil's contraption, I'd go with.
"I said 'usually', didn't I?" I can feel his smirk soaking right through me but in a much more softer tone he said "it'll be fun," and smiles "trust me."
It was his goddamn smile that convinced me to agree.
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
"I never knew you could live in a boat."
I looked around the main deck and, for some reason, I felt very lightweight and free.
"You don't like it?"
"The contrary, I love it!" I smile at him, "it adds to your charm."
Luka smiles back, "thanks."
Both of us walked inside the boat. I took everything all at once. You rarely get the chance to be inside a boat-home. But the most surprising thing was that it was stable —at least more than I thought.
"My room's the one at the end. Get yourself comfy —I'll be right there."
I bite the inside of my cheek. "Okay."
Once I get into his room, I relax and take a look around. I leave my backpack by the door and head straight for the most valuable thing to me in his room. Luka had one of the nicest guitar stands available on which laid the most basic electric guitar ever... but since looks can deceive, I pick it up.
I make myself comfortable on his bed along with Luka's guitar and a guitar pick I snatched from the wall. Without thinking twice, I started to play. It didn't matter to me that I hadn't plugged the guitar into an amplifier, this particular tab didn't need the magic of electricity. I suppose I should have asked first if I could play but it's too late now-
"That's 'Lonely Day', right?"
"Ah! Shit! Sorry!" I stood up hastily, the guitar pick went flying to the floor and I placed the guitar back where it was supposed to be. I turn to him to apologize, "I should've asked-."
Luka walks past me, grabs the guitar by its fretboard and puts the strap around himself. He shuffles around me and I was too confused to realize what he was doing. Then he hands me the guitar fully-tuned-connected-to-an-amplifier guitar. He lifts it by the fretboard again and hands it over to me as if telling me to take it. I stare into his eyes and do exactly that.
At that moment, we didn't need any words as I accepted his silent offer. I strum dumbly and then start fidgeting with the knobs on his amplifier. I bite my lip, it doesn't have as many options as mine and it's smaller than the one I have at home but I managed to get the right sound.
I started playing a song that I had played countless times and felt very confident. This moment was about impressing Luka and I was determined to blow him away. But the moment I started playing, I couldn't keep up the cool-girl act and grinned as I played around the room.
"Wow," he said amazed after I finished. "I never knew you played guitar, let alone that well."
"I'm amazing, I know," I wink.
"What did you play?"
"You don't recognize it!?" I gasp loudly. I put my hands over my heart. "Oh, my heart! It hurts! I have never been so hurt before!"
He holds back an embarrassed smile. "Guilty as charged."
"It's Crowd Chant, by Satriani," an exaggerated sad smile adorns my lips.
"Oh, right! The guy from 'Surfing with the Alien'!"
"Yes, that one! I love him, he's my idol!"
"He's good."
"Good? He's a GOD." I pout at him. "Your idol is Jagged Stone, that's why you have so little appreciation for him."
"Right."
I playfully punch him. "Just kidding."
"I thought I was supposed to be the clown around here."
I laugh very loud at that. "Yes! I will - haha - leave - ha - the rest to you."
During the week we were making the project we had gotten really close and we kept hanging out at each other's houses even when the project was long ago finished. I met his very cool mum, and his sister, who is physically exactly like him but both of them don't seem to admit it. And he met my small family too.
"I keep telling you! You do look alike! Genetics is no joke."
"I agree with [Y/N]!" Juleka's friend said one day over dinner. I can't remember what her name was but I always thought there was more than 'friends' between her and Juleka.
"We do not look alike; you both must be very blind," Luka jokes and I pinch him very hard. "Ow! Stop!" He pinches back.
"No! Luka! That was payback for yesterday!" He stuck his tongue out at me and I growl. "You're very mean."
He shrugs, "whatever you say, [Y/N]."
"Oh, 'whatever I say' it is, is it?" I crossed my arms and pondered without breaking my staring contest with Luka. "So if I said you're ugly, you'd agree?"
He smirked, "sure." I felt how triumph tasted and literally a second later I tasted defeat. "But it won't affect the fact that my eyes have 'something'."
I became a blushing mess and everyone at the table stared at us.
"So..." Juleka started, unsure. "Does that mean that [Y/N] confessed first?"
Juleka's blonde friend nodded, "I knew it!"
"I'm happy for the both of you," Mrs. Couffaine cheered with a very sweet smile.
There was a problem with their cheers which made Luka and me quite uncomfortable. It was wrong. Nothing had happened between us.
"It's...! It's not like that!" I attempt to defend ourselves and turn to Luka. "That's not what that was, right, Luka?"
He was looking in the opposite direction, scratching his crimson red neck. "I mean..."
I hide my face in my hands. "Oh my God, I want to kill myself."
"You know what? We will leave you both to work out whatever misunderstanding there might be, okay?" And with no answer, all three of them left.
"Let's go outside." With no warning, Luka took me by the hand and guided me to the main deck. It was chilly outside and I shivered but kept it to myself. "Here." Luka handed me his jacket.
"Thanks," I smile and put it on. It still smells like his cologne.
"About what Juleka said..." He avoided my gaze by looking into the river. "I might've told her that I like you," he turns to me and takes my hands, "a lot." Luka squeezes my hands out of nervousness. "The way you and I understand each other, without any words, just the music is enough. I feel like we're connected through it like we are the power-chords to any rock song."
My heart was melting, I always knew deep down that Luka's a very sweet romantic and he was killing me with his cuteness. I never knew you could look cute and hot during a confession. "Luka, I-"
"Remember when we sang 'Anything better than you'?"
"Yeah."
I recalled the memory. At the end of the song, when the part that goes "I can sing anything sweeter than you" our lips were so close... I couldn't stop thinking about it before I fell asleep every night.
"I wanted to kiss you so badly, but I just couldn't do it." Luka pulled me in and we were as close as that other time, my heart was beating so hard I could hear it in my ears. "Until now."
Luka kissed me and I kissed back. We kissed each other so desperately and I ran my hand through his hair. Fuck, how I loved the softness of his hair. We break apart for a kiss and stare at each other's eyes, dumbfounded. We kiss again except this time it wasn't as desperate. It was softer, a kiss only Luka could make amazing. Luka had thin lips but made up for it with the way he kissed. I wanted to kiss him more, I wanted more from Luka so I kissed him harsher. Then he broke apart the kiss, clearly taken aback from it.
My heart stopped, "I... I'm sorry-!" He cut me off by kissing me harsher than I did and I loved every second of his harshness. I began feeling his neck, his back, his chest and pushed myself closer to him as every second that passed it became hotter.
We broke the make-out apart. Our flushed faces appreciated the cool night breeze. We keep wrapped around each other. "I think we should get back inside."
I listened to his pounding heart through his chest. "Not yet, clown boy."
"Whatever you say, love."

1650 London
With a final agonized scream, the raven haired woman collapsed against the pillows piled at the head of the bed as the cries of a newborn filled the room. Granny smiled down at the scrunched up face she held in her hands. The rest of the child’s body followed. “It’s a girl, Mary Margaret.”
The young woman laughed weakly as Granny held her daughter up for her to see. “You were right, Granny,” she breathed.
“Well of course, I was right,” she replied, indignant. With quick, efficient movements Granny cleaned the baby up and wrapped her in a soft blanket that she had just finished crocheting a few days before. “That charm has been handed down in my family for generations and it’s never been wrong.”
The strong blonde man who had been waiting outside came running into the room just as the old midwife handed a small bundle wrapped in the white blanket to the exhausted but smiling woman reclined against the pillows. Making his way over to the bed, he placed a tender kiss on her temple. He reached around her shoulders to draw her into his side and looked down into the cloudy gray eyes that stared back at him. “It’s a girl, David,” his wife whispered, smiling up at him.
Granny’s normally no nonsense exterior melted at the sight of the young family as she took in the tender moment. Mary Margaret sat reclined on the bed with her husband’s arm around her as he stroked the crown of the nursing baby.
“Oh look,” whispered David in surprise, “Look at the birthmark. On her neck.”
“It looks like a swan in flight,” Granny said, nodding. “Can’t say I’ve ever seen a birthmark with as clear a shape as that.”
Mary Margaret raised herself slightly from the pillow to look down at her daughter before flopping back again, her eyes glazing over with weariness. “Wow,” she said on a breathy exhale as she lost her battle with fatigue.
“Certainly appropriate, with our name.” David chuckled then leaned in and again kissed his wife’s temple. “Thank you for everything Granny. I don’t know what we would have done without you.”
Granny scoffed, waving aside his sentiment. “You would have been fine, David,” she asserted, “You’ve got yourself a fine, strong woman there and a good, level head on your shoulders. You would have figured out something.” She came closer and watched fondly as the baby continued to suckle, oblivious to her worn out mother. “Now, the room is yours for as long as you need it.” She waved away his objection just as he was opening his mouth. “David, I have work for you that will more than adequately compensate me for your room and board. Mary Margaret needs to rest. It’s no easy feat to bring a child into this world.” She turned her attention to the dozing woman. “See?” she questioned him. “She’ll need to stay right there taking care of this little one for several days, at least. Once she’s up and around, I can use her too. I’m getting too old for this, and Ruby isn’t old enough to take over for me.”
David closed his mouth, stunned, as he realized exactly what Granny was offering him and his family. “Are you saying that we can stay here? Permanently?” he asked, incredulous.
“Of course, I am,” the matronly woman acknowledged with a smile. “Harold, God rest his soul, would never forgive me if I put your family out on the streets. Especially this little one.” She bent down and pressed a kiss to the baby’s forehead.
David’s shoulders slumped in relief and acceptance. “Thank you, Granny,” his voice caught with emotion, “I can’t tell you how much that means.”
“You just take care of your family,” the old woman gruffed, “That is payment enough.”
Granny looked fondly at the sleeping mother and baby before slipping out of the room.
~*~*~
Pirate captain Killian Jones entered his cabin, weariness hanging about him like a cloak. It was the first time in three days that he had seen the inside of his quarters. Ever since a storm the likes of which he had never seen came upon the ship that he had called home ever since Rumplestiltskin had murdered his brother and turned him into the cursed creature he was now. He had little doubt that the monster was behind the storm. The suddenness with which it blew up and the ferocity he and his men had battled for days all spoke to the magical, dark magical, attributes of the storm. Ever since Rumplestiltskin left him alone on the floor of this very cabin over 60 years before, he had delighted in returning every so often, taunting and tormenting him. The only reason Killian could come up with is that the monster just wanted to remind him of their connection and that, so far, he had failed in his vow to destroy him.
They had now, finally, left the storm behind them. Killian stripped down to just his leather pants, hanging his coat, waistcoat, and shirt on various furnishings in the cabin to dry. Sitting down at his desk, he pulled off his boots and socks. Once he sufficiently dried himself, he pulled down his logbook to record the battle with the storm. As he flipped to the next empty page, his eyes and thoughts skimmed over previous entries covering many years.
The attempt, at first, to hide his new nature from his crew, until the overwhelming bloodlust took over and he attacked and killed one of his men.
The mutiny that was spawned because of his lack of control. When faced with the anger, and yes, fear, of his once loyal crew, Killian’s rage at his helplessness against his fate and their perceived audacity completely filled him until he attacked them, leaving the entire crew dead at his feet.
Killian sneered as the next entry and memory paraded itself across his mind’s eye. Watching from afar as his parents frantically searched for not only their beloved sons, but also the Blue Fairy. He would assume, given her magic, that she was aware of what had happened to him and his brother. She apparently couldn’t reveal to the king and queen just how utterly and completely she had failed in her duty to protect the family from Rumpelstiltskin. So when she left their presence and saw what had happened to Liam and Killian, she disappeared as well.
Finally gaining enough control over the bloodlust that he was able to take on a new crew.
The ensuing decades that were his darkest, both as a pirate and as a vampire. He refused to feed on his crew, that could get expensive quickly, but his own self-loathing and impotence in the face of his nature were enough to unleash the, literally, bloodthirsty pirate that was always just under the surface, the bloodlust licking at his veins. When they captured merchant ships, Killian led his crew in wholesale slaughter, gorging himself on the still warm blood of their adversaries, as his men transferred the loot to the Jolly. Once he was sated, he used his powers of compulsion and persuasion to make his crew believe that when they were dumping the drained corpses overboard, they were simply disposing of rotted food.
Watching as his parents grew old with no heir until they passed and the throne went to the son of Brennan’s younger brother.
Finally turning to the last entry, his eyes drifted over lines that he knew he didn’t write.
The Dark’s minion’s downfall is foretold
When True Love’s Kiss doth unfold
Between soulmates unbound by time
The blue eyed prince and his golden haired Swan
Their True Love will break the hold
And Dark magic will be no more.
Killian’s brows furrowed as he read the lines again. Dark’s minion? Dark magic no more? Is it talking about Rumplestiltskin? The blue eyed prince and his golden haired Swan? Soulmates? What does all this mean? The confusion he felt as he pored over the words yet again continued to grow. Who wrote this? How did it get here? Would one of my crew dare to enter my cabin without my knowledge and permission, much less write in my logbook?
His last entry was from three days before. So someone had made this entry at some point during the storm. But no matter how many times he read the words or tried to figure out answers to his questions, he couldn’t make any sense of the entry in his journal. Shaking his head, he determined to put it out of his mind and concentrate on the recording of the storm.
Many hours later, while Captain Killian Jones slept, the Blue Fairy materialized in the cabin and waved her wand over the sleeping man. With the white magic that settled on him, she knew that when he woke, he would have no memory of the prophecy recorded in his journal. Not until the proper time. Not until the blue eyed prince met his golden haired Swan.
~*~*~
Killian Jones entered the inn and stamped his nearly frozen feet on the threshold as he shivered under his traveling cloak. Anger licked his veins as he made his way over to the blazing fire in the hearth to warm himself after his trek from the London Pool where his ship was docked. He was chasing down a lead that was supposed to give him information on a possible way to destroy Rumplestiltskin. Whispers and rumors had reached him about an instrument that might be capable of killing the monster and freeing him from the Darkness that coursed through him. Unfortunately, that lead had proved fruitless.
A young woman with sunshine in her hair hurried over to him at the hearth with a pint of ale. “May I take your cloak, sir,” she asked.
“Aye, lass,” he replied. “Thank you.” Too distracted to take real notice of the young woman, he handed her his cloak and sat down at a nearby table. She returned moments later with a bowl of hot stew that smelled divine. The months at a time being out to sea made fresh, hot food all the more welcome when making port.
He looked up into the girl’s face and was captivated by the green eyes that skittered away from his once he caught them. As she turned away from him and headed back towards the kitchen, something came over him. Something that he hadn’t experienced in decades. The bloodlust that he had under control for over 70 years completely took him by surprise. He felt his fangs snap into place and a red haze descended over his sight, telling him that his pupils were red as blood. He bowed his head toward his meal until he had himself under control again, eyes blue as the summer sky and fangs retracted.
He looked up again and scanned the room he found himself in. Just like every other tavern he’d ever frequented, he found a large and cheerful hearth keeping the frigid cold of the freak London snowstorm at bay. Over to his left, he saw stairs leading up to the rooms for rent for weary travelers. The door opened again with more pushing their way through, seeking the warmth the inn offered. To the right of the door, the counter with the kitchen behind was bustling with the girl going back and forth between the counter and the blonde man behind it and the tables that the newcomers settled at.
Unfortunately, they had settled only a single table away from him and every time the girl came to attend to them, the bloodlust washed over him again. He concentrated even harder on the meal set before him, wrestling himself back under control when she approached him again.
“Is everything alright, sir,” she asked, “Would you like some fresh bread to go with the stew? Granny is just taking some out of the oven…” she trailed away as his eyes met hers again. He was gratified to see that there was nothing but curiosity and openness in her gaze. He had obviously been successful in keeping his true nature hidden from her.
“Aye, lass,” he answered her, “that would be lovely.” She turned away from him and as she did, he noticed the swan birthmark on her neck. A swan in flight.
The blue eyed prince and his golden haired Swan
A completely forgotten line from a completely forgotten journal entry he had found many years ago. Could this girl be the golden haired Swan? And he could only conclude that he must be the blue eyed prince. He sat, completely gobsmacked as he watched the girl approach his table again with several hunks of freshly baked bread on the tray she carried. She stopped at the other occupied tables, lightening her load every time, before she carried on toward him. Arriving, he couldn’t help but take a deep inhale, noting the aroma of the bread as well as the scent of her, just to make sure that the bloodlust was firmly back under his control.
“Thank you again, lass,” he drawled. “Please conduct my sincere compliments to the cook of this delicious meal. Whom should I speak to about procuring lodging for the night? I’m not inclined to go back out into that until it clears up a bit.”
Her eyes shot toward the door as it swung open yet again, letting in the largest crowd yet, along with the blustery wind and snow. “That is very true, sir,” she acknowledged. “The weather is fit for neither man nor beast. My father is behind the counter. He’s the one you should speak to.”
“Thank you. I shall do that as soon as I finish my meal,” he declared, tucking into the food before him yet again.
He used the last bite of bread to soak up the last of the broth from the stew before rising from his table and making his way toward the counter with the blonde man behind it. “Good evening, sir,” Killian called as he approached.
“Good evening,” the man replied. “I hope you enjoyed my wife’s stew and Granny’s bread.”
“Undoubtedly, sir,” he rejoined, “It’s been many a month since I’ve partaken of a meal as satisfying as the one I just enjoyed.” He leaned across the counter with his hand extended toward the man. “Captain Killian Jones.”
“Ah,” the man exclaimed, taking Killian’s outstretched hand. “I wondered if perhaps you were a seafaring man. David Swan. How else may I help you?”
It was all he could do to keep his face from showing his complete and utter surprise at the confirmation of his earlier thoughts. “A pleasure to meet you, David,” he answered, pointing back toward the door of the inn. “I’d rather prefer to not have to leave until the weather clears up. Might you have a room available until it does?”
“We do indeed,” he affirmed. “Emma?”
“Yes, Papa,” the girl answered, approaching the counter again.
“Would you please see that room 2 is ready for Captain Jones here,” he asked his daughter.
Killian reached out toward Emma, palm up, in a gesture of invitation. She lay her own hand in his own before he lifted it to place a small kiss to her knuckles. “Thank you for the excellent service and meal tonight, Miss Emma. It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.”
“Yours as well, Captain,” she replied, with a slight curtsey, “I’ll just go see to your room. I’ll return shortly.”
Killian watched her walk away, his thoughts in complete turmoil. Shaking his head and returning his attention to her father, he scratched behind his ear as he took in David’s broad smile. “She’s nearly sixteen and would make a fine wife for a sea captain before too much longer.” David answered his unasked question.
Scratching furiously in nervousness, Killian repeated, “So, she’s 15, hmm?” He swallowed around the sizable lump in his throat as a petite black haired woman whose temples were just dusted with frost joined them at the counter.
She turned her eyes upon David with a slight reprimand in them before turning her gaze upon Killian. Green, just like Emma’s. Must be her mother. Killian extended his hand toward the woman, just as he had moments before with the young woman. Brushing his lips across her knuckles, he introduced himself again. “Captain Killian Jones, milady, at your service.”
“My wife, and Emma’s mother, Mary Margaret Swan,” David introduced them.
“It’s my honor,” Killian murmured, sincerely. “If I’m not mistaken, I have you to thank for the stew I partook of this evening?”
Mary Margaret’s cheeks tinged a light pink. “Oh, it was nothing, Captain,” she deflected, “I’m so pleased you enjoyed it.”
“I truly did,” he affirmed. “I was just telling your husband that after many months at sea, a hot, fresh meal is greatly appreciated.”
Emma approached the counter again. “Your room is ready, Captain Jones. If you’ll follow me please.”
With a slight bow to David and Mary Margaret and wishes from both sides for a pleasant evening, Killian followed Emma to his room.
~*~*~
It was nearly a fortnight later before the snow had melted enough for Killian to leave the inn. During the time he had spent with them, he had become quite good friends with the Swan family. He was careful to keep the rapidity with which he was losing his head over Emma hidden as he became her constant companion in her leisure time. Which admittedly, wasn’t much. David and Mary Margaret didn’t have any objection to his obvious affinity for their daughter, and he had even managed to win over the matriarch of the family, Granny. Being in such close quarters with Emma was an exercise in self control such that he had never had to endure before. But, in the end, he had been successful in keeping his true nature from the happy family. The puzzling questions concerning the journal entry still plagued him, but he thought that perhaps, with his new certainty of who Emma was, he might be able to figure out what the rest of it meant.
Entering his cabin, Killian immediately pulled down his logbook and flipped to the page containing the riddle. He hadn’t thought of it since the evening after the storm, fifteen years before. Right about the time Emma would have been born, he thought. But upon seeing her birthmark and introducing himself to David, it had never been far from his mind. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to recall most of the words, so as soon as the snow was melted sufficiently, he rushed to the Jolly to look at the journal again.
The Dark’s minion’s downfall is foretold
When True Love’s Kiss doth unfold
Between soulmates unbound by time
The blue eyed prince and his golden haired Swan
Their True Love will break the hold
And Dark magic will be no more.
Killian stared at the words before him, wrestling with them in his mind, trying to make sense out of them.
The Dark’s minion’s downfall is foretold
Foretold, that means prophecy. The Dark. The Darkness? The Darkness that makes him, makes me, what I am? The Dark’s minion? If the Darkness is what makes us, then Rumplestiltskin must be its minion. Downfall is foretold. He will fall when True Love’s Kiss occurs between soulmates, the blue eyed prince and his golden haired Swan. Me and Emma. Unbound by time. What does that mean? Killian shook his head. He hadn’t a clue. Their True Love will break the hold and Dark magic will be no more. That sounds like True Love’s Kiss between me and Emma will destroy the Darkness. Then Rumplestiltskin can be destroyed. A sinister smile broke across his face. At last our tales will again intertwine. Revenge will be mine.
He could feel the anger and hatred rising within him, nearly triggering a blood frenzy within him. There was no way he could return to the inn with the bloodlust this close to the surface. He closed his eyes and willed himself back under control. He needed to get word to his crew and get as far away from here as he could. If Emma was his True Love, and the two of them were needed to destroy the Darkness and Rumplestiltskin, he had to get as far away from Emma as possible if he wanted to keep her and her family safe. If Rumplestiltskin were to find out about her, find out about her family, he wouldn’t hesitate to destroy them. He had to keep her safe. Safe from him. And safe from him. He’d come back for brief visits in the future, until she was a little bit older and ready for him to court and marry her.  A sudden certainty came over him that if he wanted to court her, if he wanted to be worthy of her, his days of slaughter on the high seas and persuasion and compulsion on his crew were at an end. He couldn’t continue to take their free will from them as his sire had taken his. Satisfied with his plans, he pulled out a sheet of parchment and began penning a missive to Emma and her family.
~*~*~
Six months later
Killian made his way through the streets of London with an arm raised to his face, trying to block the putrid smell that came from the devastating effects of the Black Death that was ravaging the continent and had made its way to England’s shores. He could only hope and pray that Emma and her family had not suffered any loss due to the epidemic. The heat mingled with the stench of death made for a rancid bouquet that was causing his last meal to roll within him, wanting to revolt. He finally reached the inn and made his way inside. Getting out of the blazing heat of the sun overhead and the stink from the rampant disease was such a relief, that he wanted to weep. But before he could collapse, his eyes caught the gaze of his friend behind the counter. A gaze that held unspeakable despair and immense pain. Killian’s greeting and smile died on his lips before he could utter a word.
He knew his Swan’s family had not been spared.
Emma’s birthday had come and gone while he’d been at sea, and he now felt that the time was right to formally court her and make her his bride.
That hope for the future was shattered, however when David’s head slowly shook from side to side. He knew who Killian would be most anxious to see upon his arrival, but it was plain to see that he couldn’t bring himself to utter the words. David came around the counter to embrace his friend. A wail of misery that came from the depths of his being threatened to consume him, but he clenched his jaw against it.
“When?” he gritted out.
“Nine days.” David’s voice broke on a whisper. Drawing away from him, Killian tried to curl himself into a ball as the wail continued to try and break free.
David reached around his shoulders and drew him upright again as he led him toward the back of the inn. Pushing through the door back into the heat, dizziness overtook him as he looked at the three graves just a few feet from the door.
“Granny went first. She died in April,” David choked out. “We thought that we’d been spared, since no one else came down with it right away.” Killian could feel the blood tears gathering at the corners of his eyes. He kept his focus on the ground before him as David continued to speak. “Mary Margaret became ill seventeen days ago, and almost the same hour that I lost her, Emma was stricken. I couldn’t bear to leave my beautiful Mary Margaret to decay, so I dug her grave next to Granny. Granny was the only mother my Mary Margaret ever knew.”
Killian chanced a brief glance at the grieving man beside him. The anguish painted there, left his skin with a grey pallor.
“Did I ever tell you our story?” David pressed on, without waiting for his answer. “I came from a family of shepherds. My mother passed when my youngest sister was born. I was seven. Mary Margaret lived in the nearby village and had always been kind to me when I came into town. But the man she called Father, was the most despicable of men. He was a slave to drink. Never satisfied with the work she did to maintain their household, constantly harassing her, beating her for no reason. She had finally worked up the courage to leave his house when he collapsed with wracking coughs. He was dead within days. She was sixteen. For some reason, she came to me. I could never understand why. She said it was because I made her feel safe. That when he would beat her, she’d picture my face and she’d be able to endure it.” He paused, shaking his head. “But, why me? Wouldn’t anyone else have helped her? I didn’t do anything anybody else wouldn’t have done…” He shook himself from his rambling memories and continued their story. “After knowing each other most of our lives, it didn’t take us long to fall in love. When we couldn’t hide Mary Margaret’s pregnancy anymore, my father kicked us out. We came to London to try to find a better life and Granny took us in. Only three weeks before Emma was born. Granny delivered her. It seemed only fitting that they should all be together in death.”
David fell silent. Killian could no longer hold back his tears. He collapsed to the ground, desperate to hide his face and the blood pouring down his cheeks from his friend, gasping sobs breaking free. David stood beside him, silent tears coursing down his own cheeks, letting Killian’s grief find a safe outlet that wouldn’t be contained or interrupted. When the barking sobs subsided to quiet weeping, David patted his friend on the shoulder.
“I’ll go prepare your room. Stay out here as long as you need.” He turned toward the door and disappeared inside.
Finally alone, Killian raised his blood streaked face to look at the graves before him. His golden haired Swan was gone. The woman he loved, his soulmate, was gone. What am I going to do now?

Anne of Green Gables!AU - Peter Parker x Stark! Reader - Part 2
I’m so sorry this took so long! It’s a short part, but I wanted to put something out to thank you all for being so patient! It’s a bit of a filler but it sets the foundation for their rivalry (just like Anne and Gilbert!) Thank you all so much for the support on this and I hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
“Why were you walking with that ugly orphan?” Gwen Stacy asked you as she swung her seat closer to you in library.
You practically choked on the water you had started sipping, looking at her stunned.
“Who?” you asked.
“You know, the orphan boy. Peter or whatever. He just moved here, with his widowed aunt too. How sad.” She stated monotonously.
You rolled your eyes, “yeah you seem it. And so what is he’s an orphan, a cute boy, is a cute boy.”
Gwen made a disgusted face as she swung her chair back into its place. You shook your head as you turned back to your laptop and kept typing.
*
As Peter was walking to lunch later that day, he was stopped in his path by Brad and Harry.
“Listen up Parker, about this morning,” Brad started, but was cut off by Harry raising his hand and silencing him.
“We know you’re new,” Harry spoke patronisingly, “but you have to know the pecking order. We’re up here,” he said raising his hand above his head, “and you, are down here,” he moved his hand to be just inches from the ground. “And (Y/N) is up there with us. You get the picture?”
Peter nodded silently, unable to form any words. Flashbacks of the kids on the streets that bullied him in the town where his parents died plagued his mind, but he focused on repressing them and focusing on Harry’s voice.
“Good, then we won’t see you talking to her again,” Brad said tauntingly, banging into Peter’s shoulder as he marched passed him.
Peter rushed into the cafeteria and joined Ned at their table in the very back. Ned noticed the pale look on his face.
“You alright?”
“Not really,” Peter huffed as he sat down. Ned looked at his quizzically before he continued, “It was just Harry and Brad again.”
Ned nodded understandably, he saw how they had picked on Peter right from his very first day at Midtown.
“They were threatening because I spoke to (Y/N),” Peter explained nonchalantly. Ned practically fainted, a weird high-pitched squeal escaping from his lips as he stood in his place.
“YOU SPOKE TO…” Ned began to yell but Peter shushed him, bringing his index finger up to his lips, and using his other arm to yank him back into his seat. Ned sat down sheepishly and spoke again, more softly this time.
“You spoke to (Y/N)?!” he whisper shouted.
Peter nodded, “I still don’t get what the big deal is.”
“The big deal?” Ned huffed, as he placed his hands clasped on the table, “she is a gift sent from the Gods, she is smart, beautiful and is basically the most amazing human ever. I can see why Harry was bothering you, he’s practically been betrothed to her since forever.”
Peter raised his eyebrows at the statement, “Isn’t that a little…”
“Old fashioned?” Ned asked, “Yeah, a little. Mr Stark and Mr Osborn have been friends for decades, you know, both being in the tech industry and what not,” Ned continued to ramble on as Peter began unwrapping his sandwich, “But she’s never really had eyes for Harry, but he’s practically obsessed with her. From my own observations, she seems to be the more independent type, a girl would doesn’t want to be- oh my god she’s coming this way!”
Peter’s ears pricked up at this as he dropped his sandwich, “What?”
“(Y/N) is coming this way! Look, she’s walking right towards us!” Ned pointed frantically. Peter’s eyes widen as he saw her making her way across the cafeteria to them. He saw Harry’s eyes trained on her as she walked past their table. His eyes followed her path to Peter, and he saw his eyes narrow.
Peter spun around quickly, leaning forward to whisper to Ned, “Don’t speak to her.”
“Don’t speak… no way Peter, this is (Y/N) we’re talking about, I may never get this blissful opportunity again… Hi!” Ned’s voice picked up as (Y/N) reached the table. She stood there, smiling at the boys.
“Hi, may I sit?”
“Of course,” Ned spoke enthusiastically, excitedly shoving his things to the side.
“Thanks,” she said taking a seat next to Ned. Peter kept his head trained on his food in front of him. “I’m (Y/N).”
“I know!” Ned spoke frantically, before clearing his throat. “I mean, uh, I’m Ned.”
(Y/N) giggled, “Nice to meet you Ned. And you’re Peter right?”
Peter kept his head down refusing to look at you. Out the corner of his eye he could see Harry’s silhouette rise from its chair as he continue staring daggers into Peter’s back.
“Yes, this is Peter,” Ned answered sternly, smiling apologetically at you as he kicked Peter under the table. He flinched but still refused to make eye contact.
“Oh, um okay,” you replied sheepishly, still looking at the boy confusedly. “Well I got heaps of food packed in my lunch today, sometimes our helpers go a little overboard. I’ll never be able to eat it, would you guys like to share?”
Ned nodded enthusiastically as you reached into your bag, flourishing an array of sweets and snacks.
“Wow,” Ned said shifting through them all, trying to decide what he would eat first.
“Yeah I brought them all back from my time in Europe. Oh, these are the best!” you reached forward for some chocolate covered biscuits. “I got these in Germany, and they really do have the best chocolate over there.”
You opened the packet and gave one to Ned who immediately began chopping. You laughed at his enthusiasm.
Peter could see Harry becoming more tense as (Y/N) began to share her food. Peter could feel his palm become clammy as nervousness set in.
“Would you like on Peter, they’re so good!” you said, thrusting the biscuit towards him.
“Please go away,” he replied through gritted teeth. You hesitated with the biscuit, confused.
“I’m sorry?” you asked awkwardly, not hearing what the boy had said under his breathe.
Peter could see Harry step over the bench he was sitting at and start towards their table.
“You need to walk away right now,” he said again, jaw clasped tight. You looked at him puzzled once again.
“I’m sorry I don’t understand what you said…”
Peter stood straight up in his spot, hands flailed out anxiously, “I’m not supposed to talk to you!”
He quickly began gathering his things. You slouched in your seat, taken aback by his outburst. As you went to respond, he had already gathered his backpack and stormed away, pushing passed Harry Osborn who was only two tables away.
“Sorry about that,” Ned spoke slowly, reaching for another biscuit. You huffed and shook your head. Harry Osborn made eye contact with you and winked. You cringed and rolled your eyes, before catching a glimpse of MJ on the other side of the cafeteria and summoning her over

___
Marinette?"
The girl finally took notice and looked at him, a spaced out expression slowly draining off of her fave and giving way to a sheepish smile.
"Oh, sorry Chat Noir, what were you saying?"
He laughed softly, shaking his head at her. "That's the fourth time tonight, you know," he teased, nudging her with his elbow gently.
She rolled her eyes, shoving him playfully in return. This was a comfortable habit by now. Once or twice a week, he would drop in on her after patrols, and she just seemed to be full of never-ending acceptance of him. Sometimes she would open the skylight before he could even knock, already climbing out with drinks or snacks for them to share. All it ever did was reaffirm for him that Marinette was the most unconditionally kind person he had ever met. It was so easy to look at her, practically glowing under the moonlight, so full of softness and life, so easy that sometimes he forgot about everything else.
"Who's the one spacing out now, huh?" She said, waving her hand in front of his eyes. He jumped back a little, turning red and then shaking his head.
His hand went to the back of his neck, rubbing at it anxiously as he tried to offer her an apologetic smile. "Sorry, Purrincess," he joked, always unable to resist the punny nickname when it came to her.
She groaned, smacking her palm into her face at the nickname. At first, she had ignored it, and even seemed a little embarrassed by it, but that was probably because he had gone just a little overboard on the charm when she had helped him with the Evillustrator. Now that they considered each other friends for real though, she didn't hide her mix of amused annoyance, something that reminding him so much of his favorite spotted heroine.
"When are you gonna let that awful nickname go?" she asked with an exasperated sigh, even as the corners of her lips crept up in a smile.
He grinned in response, hopping up from his seated position on the railing and standing on it instead. He dipped into a low bow, holding his hand out in a dramatic flair of princely behavior. "You have to admit that it's kind of fitting, Princess. A room at the top of the tower, a balcony that looks over the city, and the beautiful princess waiting for her prince," he added with a wink, still grinning as he walked along the railing toward her.
"Oh, you think I'm beautiful, huh?"
His foot slipped as he realized exactly what he had said, and he tumbled off the railing, thankfully only onto the balcony instead of down onto the street.
"Chat!" She yelped, jumping straight up as he fell and darting over to him. "OhmygodImsosorry, are you okay?!"
Rolling over onto his back, he looked up at her. She had kneeled down behind his head and now she was leaned over him, staring at him with those brilliant blue eyes of hers.
"You really are beautiful, Marinette," he said softly, locking his eyes onto hers with so much certainty in his look. Her eyes slowly widened and her lips parted, and then he realized that he had done it again. Both of their faces turned red and he scrambled to sit up quickly, only to knock his forehead into hers with a solid thud.
She leaned back immediately, holding her hand to her forehead. "Ouch, Chat, sheesh. What are you trying to do, give me amnesia?"
"Uh, purrhaps?" he mumbled, sitting up and rubbing the back of his neck again. "Sorry, Mari, for your head, and the uh... you know."
Laughing, she shrugged it off, even though her very red face made it clear that she was more than a little embarrassed. "Isn't Ladybug usually the one who's at the receiving end of your compliments?" she asked, trying to brush past the obvious awkwardness.
She was right, of course. It was normally his lady that occupied his thoughts, because she had always been extraordinary. Still, he shrugged and sighed, leaning back on his arms to look up at the sky. "My Lady is amazing. That's always been true, and it always will be. Things are just... more complicated lately."
"Complicated?" she said quietly. He heard her moving around, and then she was sitting next to him with a curious expression.
"Ah. Sorry, I don't know." He shook his head, sitting straight up again, glancing over at her. He knew exactly what his complication was, but he wasn't sure he could really bring himself to say it either.
She met his glance, offering a kind smile that made his heartbeat jump. "You can talk to me, you know," she murmured softly, a hint of an emotion he couldn't place on her face. She seemed almost... conflicted?
"I love Ladybug. I've always made that clear," he started explain. After another glance at her made him nervous, he leaned back to lie down on the balcony floor, staring up at the sky, which somehow didn't help as much as he thought it would because all he could think was that her eyes sparkled more than the sky ever could.
"Yeah..." she finally mumbled in response, which shook him out of his quickly spiraling thoughts.
"I, um, I might be starting to think I'm in love with... someone else, too," he admitted finally, chickening out of the confession at the last second. "I've always thought that Ladybug was 'it' for me. She's this brilliant beacon of hope and goodness, but sometimes she really does feel like an actual beacon. Like I can see her light, and it's close, but it's just out of reach, and if I try too hard, I'll get smashed on the rocks. I guess that being in love like that is starting to feel... complicated."
He paused, closing his eyes as he started to picture his Lady in his mind. She was as beautiful as ever, and she still made his heart go crazy but... there was hesitance now, and he knew that the oddly silent girl next to him was the cause.
"This other girl, even though she's made my feelings complicated, she somehow manages to make things so simple all at once. If Ladybug is the sun, then she's like the moon. She's soft, and sometimes sad, and even if she reminds me of Ladybug in some ways, she's still entirely herself in everything she does." Realizing that he had been rambling like a fool, he cleared his throat awkwardly, trying to shrug it off. "Wow, sorry, I don't know where that came from!"
Marinette shifted slightly and looked at him, starting to stand up before pausing to speak. "It sounds like you really care about them both, Chat," she offered quietly, then stood up the rest of the way. He turned his head to watch her walk to the railing, leaning onto it so heavily that it made his heart hurt for some reason. She just seemed so tired. "I know how you feel," she mumbled so softly that he probably wouldn't have heard it without his cat hearing.
"What do you mean?" he asked in response, and she jumped slightly, almost like she had forgotten he was there.
"Oh. Well, I've already told you about the boy I've been crushing on for a while now but there's sort of someone else creeping into my heart too? So, I guess I just understand what you're feeling."
He wasn't sure how to respond to that. He knew she liked someone, even if he wasn't sure who it was. He had managed to convince himself that maybe he had more of a chance with her than Ladybug though, but if she liked two people? That made him a lot less sure. Trying to process this, he sat in silence and she didn't appear to want to interrupt it either. Both of them were stuck in thought, and finally he just sighed, clambering to his feet.
"Hey, Marinette?" He called softly, standing just behind her with his hand rubbing the back of his neck again. She turned around quickly, trying to get rid of the sad look on her face before she faced him, though he could still see it in her eyes.
"What is it Chat?" she asked, stepping away from the railing and towards him.
He held out a hand, and after a moment of hesitation, she put her hand in his. Using it as a tether, he gently pulled her forward and then grabbed her other hand too, holding them both in his own. He looked down at her hands, turning her palms up and tracing the lines with his thumbs.
"Chat?" she asked again, a little quieter this time.
"I don't want to be complicated anymore, Marinette." He paused, taking a deep breath and flicking his gaze up to her eyes before bring it back down again. He wouldn't be able to say what he wanted to if he was looking into those, that was for sure. "I... It's you, Marinette. I think that, well, no, I know that I'm falling for you."
His heart almost stopped at the soft way her breath hitched and she froze stone still. Before she could question him or try to speak, he hurried to explain.
"At first I just wanted to come here because you were just so... confusing to me. I know I shouldn't say this, but I know you as my civilian self."
"Chat! You can't-"
He nodded, finally looking up at her. "I know. It's just hard. Having the mask just makes things so complicated!" He squeezed her hands, trying to bring himself back down to a more calm state. "And I hate things being complicated. My life, all of it, has always been complicated enough. I don't regret accepting the miraculous, but sometimes I just wish that things were easier, so please just hear me out on this, okay?"
She looked skeptical at first, and hesitant to let him do something they both knew had risks. Still, he mustered up the most heartfelt pleading look he could, and she relented with a sigh. "Alright."
"You... you act so different, around civilian me? I know I can't tell you a lot of details or how close we are, even, but it's just always been a mystery to me." Pausing, he took another deep breath and tried to figure out what to say without overwhelming her. "Marinette, you're kind of the most amazing person I know."
"That! Well, that can't be true, I mean.. Ladybug, right?!" she sputtered, starting to pull away from him slightly as her face flushed red.
"It's not the same. Ladybug is... she's a hero. People just kind of expect kindness from her, and yeah, maybe it's not required, but she just sees it as part of the role. But you? You're just nice to everyone, because you want to be! It's like you were literally made of kindness. Even with me..." He looked up at her, letting go of her hands finally. She was doing her best to avoid looking at him, and he gently tilted her face back towards him. "You've been so kind to me. Both sides of me, even when you barely knew me and had no reason to be. With the life I live, you, Princess, are one of the only people who truly makes me feel real."
She sniffled softly, and he could see tears starting to form in her eyes, something that made his heart drop. "I... I don't know what to say to that, Chat."
"You don't have to say anything, really, I just needed to un-complicate things, a little." He smiled sadly, moving back to give her some space again. He watched her reach up to wipe her eyes and sighed, frustrated with himself and the circumstances.
Seeing her tears start to spill over, he sighed again. Before he could talk himself out of it, he pulled her into his arms and wrapped around her tightly. "I hate that I caused this. I'm sorry, Princess."
"It's not your fault, silly cat," she mumbled softly, starting to relax in his arms. She buried her face in his shoulder, her arms twined around his torso. He couldn't help but be a little pleased that she still wanted to be around him, and pressed a soft kiss to the crown of her head. She sighed at that, squeezing him a little tighter. "It's just that things are still so complicated. Gosh, I hate that word."
"Well, maybe I can make things less complicated," he said thoughtfully. It was something he never thought he would consider, but now that he had, the thought was implanted in his mind. "I don't want things to be complicated or difficult for either of us. I'm okay with going in blind if it means I'll crash into you. You're the most trustworthy person I know, Marinette."
"What are you talking about?" she asked, pulling back slightly to give him a puzzled look.
He sighed, giving her a lopsided grin that didn't match the worry in his eyes. "Please don't be mad at me," he said, barely pausing before rushing into the next phrase. "Plagg, claws in."
"Chat, wait!" she squeaked out, but it was too late. There was a blinding flash of green light and she slammed her eyes shut, and then slapped her hand over them for good measure.
"Marinette, please," he said softly, reaching for her hands. He gently tugged the first one away, bringing it up to kiss her palm. "I need you to see me, all of me."
He could see that she was shaking, and probably angry with him, if her silence was any indication.
"I know that you're in love with two probably great guys. I know that I probably don't measure up to them either. And... if you really don't feel comfortable with this, I can transform again," he said, looking over his shoulder for his kwami, who he spotted lurking near a potted plant. The tiny cat god had no sarcastic comments, which was a shock, instead just nodding at him. "I used to think Ladybug would be the first one to know. Maybe she still should be, but I just know that you kind of mean everything to me, and I can't hide from you anymore."
When he had finished speaking, he let go of her hands, stepping back out of her space. She didn't move to cover her eyes with her hands, which was a relief, but she also wasn't opening her eyes either. She seemed like a statue, completely frozen in thought. He tried to wait it out, but after a few minutes, it seemed clear that she wasn't okay with this.
"I'm sorry, Marinette. I'll go, okay? Plagg-"
"W-wait!" she stammered out, reaching one hand out for him. He quickly wrapped both of his around it and squeezed hers reassuringly, trying to offer her any kind of comfort he could.
"It's okay. You don't have to force this," he said, giving her hand another soft squeeze.
"No, no. I... you're right. I don't want things to be complicated anymore." She took a deep breath, bringing her other hand up to squeeze his in return. After what felt like forever, her face un-scrunched itself and her eyes fluttered open.
At first, she didn't react at all. The world was perfectly still, and he couldn't really even see anything but her. Then, the realization started to kick in, and her eyes widened. From there, he watched her expression shift to something softer, and then there was embarrassment, some sadness, more shock, and every other possible emotion. Finally, she settled on a small smile and teary eyes, squeezing his hands.
"Adrien. It's you." she said, barely above a whisper. The tension seemed to have slipped off of her shoulders with those words, and she looked more lovely than anything he had ever seen.
"Yeah... Is that okay?" he finally managed to ask, letting go of her hands to rub his neck for the millionth time that night. She sure managed to make him uncertain sometimes, that was clear.
Instead of speaking, she just rolled her eyes and before he knew what was happening, she had crashed into him. She wrapped her arms around him, slightly on the tips of her toes to lean into him more. He felt himself relax all at once and hurried to return the embrace, practically lifting her up and spinning her around in his excitement.
"Of course it's okay, silly cat," she mumbled softly into his shoulder. "It's better than okay," actually," she added as an afterthought, and he looked down at her questioningly.
"Better than okay?"
She froze, leaning back to give him a sheepish and embarrassed smile. "Yeah, uh. The two guys that I have... feelings for, are you. Well, Adrien-you, and Chat-you."
He stepped back, gaping at her with wide eyes. "Wait, you had feelings for me and... me?" She only nodded in response and he grinned again, sweeping her into another enthusiastic hug, and then abruptly stopping again. "Which feelings came first?"
"Cha- I mean, Adrien! Agh!" She groaned, roughly rubbing her face with her hands, which only made him laugh. Hearing his amusement, she pulled her hands away and tried to glare at him but failed, pouting instead. "It's not funny!"
"I'm sorry! You're just cute when you're frustrated, Purrrrrincess," he said with an overdramatic flair, shooting her a grin. She was red in the face, and fighting to find words like she often did around his civilian self, and that made much more sense now. "You must find me pretty irresistible then, since you fell for me twice, how cute."
She shot another glare at him, though this one quickly became a smirk that terrified him. She chuckled slightly under her breath, and leaned up onto to her toes again. He froze as she got closer and closer to his face and watched her eagerly, trying not to be disappointed when she pressed a kiss to his cheek. He thought she would back down after that, but instead she leaned forward more, stopping when her mouth was so close to his ear that he could feel her breath. "You fell for me twice, too, Chaton."
His eyes widened and he started to respond, but before he could even get a syllable out, she had moved again and instead pressed her lips to his. Every single thought evaporated from his mind and the whole world became the vanilla and sweetness that he could taste on Marinette's - Ladybug's? - lips. He tilted his head to return the kiss, holding her in his arms like the treasure that she was. She felt so much like home to him, and he finally understood why trusting her had been as easy as breathing. Even physically, she fit perfectly in his arms, and her lips felt like they were molded to be kissed by him.
When they finally broke apart, she looked up at him and he met her eyes. Part of him felt ridiculous for thinking there could ever be two people with eyes as positively magical as hers.
"I love you," she said softly, her endlessly blue eyes filled to the brim with the sentiment to match her words.
"And I love you, m'Lady."
